Every time I see a post condemning Jonelias I need to go in the tag and consume JE content. So. What are YOUR headcanons? 👀
jon-elias:
Yeah, sadly this shipped is not very supported by anyone outside of it :(
Some of my headcanons!!
👁General hc’s (soft ones cause I’m weak)👁
-Elias actually really likes cats (and him and Jon go on dates at cat cafes)
-Jon is absolutely smitten, like he doesn’t fall for people easily, but when he does he falls hard…
-Elias is uncomfortable with people knowing him, but he’s slowly letting Jon find out more about him
-They’re both absolutely literature nerds and have library dates and they both love reading to each other some of their favorite passages.
👁18+ hc’s👁
-Jon isn’t always up for having sex, but he does like getting himself off with Elias watching 👀
-Elias loves being tied up (he’s always in control, so it feels nice to be at Jon’s mercy sometimes)
curly-eyebrows:
ugh i CANNOT wait for the final conversation Jon and Elias are gonna have i know it’s gonna be sexy and filled with tension
I really like your peterjonelias! As there is a severe lack of it everywhere else, can you do more please!!
tired-fandom-ndn:
Yes! Absolutely!
Just as a warning, my headcanons for ships change at a whim so this is gonna be a wild mishmash of different ideas and AUs lmao
- They LOVE EACH OTHER. This isn’t a like tense alliance between avatars or whatever, it’s just three men who are very evil and love being evil together. Sometimes. Peter likes being evil with them but from a distance.
- Jon is financially stable with a well paying job and his own flat. Elias is pretty damn wealthy after hoarding 200 years worth of wealth in off-shore accounts on top of his Institute salary. Peter is still their sugar daddy and takes great pride in basically throwing his many credit and debit cards at them.
- IF they’re relationship started pre-canon or early in the show, before the Unknowing, then it’s because Jon came into his becoming as the Archivist much earlier and Elias started introducing him to the other avatars. To his delight, Jon and Peter really hit it off and things went from there.
- In that AU, they’d basically act as his support system while he slowly loses his humanity. An avatar is never more vulnerable than while in that “not quite human, not quite monster” stage and Peter and Elias work to basically protect him from other avatars, other entities, and himself. They’re his port in what feels like an endless storm.
- IF their relationship started post-Unknowing, then it would’ve basically been to spite Elias. Peter was probably trying to make his lover/husband/ex/frenemy jealous by snatching his precious Archivist, only to get in way too deep. Jon was probably drawn by Peter’s inhumanity and his own desperate need to find another anchor after losing Elias.
- Elias is a pretty average build, decently tall and pretty muscular (he did beat someone to death with a pipe). Jon is a twig, already pretty short and skinny but practically gaunt after everything that’s happened to him. Peter is MASSIVE and built like the sailor he is, complete with a very nice and soft belly. He can almost wrap his hands completely around Jon’s waist and they all love this, though he pretends he doesn’t.
- In that very fun AU where Peter is Mordechai Lukas, then Jon would absolutely be Jonathan Fanshawe reborn as his ex lover’s Archivist. I imagine Peter/Mordechai and Elias/Jonah would’ve spent the last 200 years trying to find him again, and would be DELIGHTED when the Web drops him right back into their laps.
- NSF.W/ Peter and Jon both have dehumanization/objectification kinks, Jon because it lets him enjoy sex without the usual expectations and Peter because it makes it easier for him to handle that sort of intimacy when he can pretend like his partner isn’t actually a person. Elias thinks they’re both hilarious, but is pretty into it too tbh.
- Peter and Elias really do love each other, but they’re so different and when they fight, it’s brutal. That’s why they split up so often. Jon, though, doesn’t hesitate to call them out on their overdramatic bullshit and force them to actually talk things out. His low tolerance for relationship nonsense is part of the glue holding their relationship together.
- Peter justifies their relationship to himself by saying that, even if he isn’t particularly lonely when he’s with them, the pain and loneliness is excruciating when he’s away. It’s his offering to the Lonely, an apology for finding love.
- To “exacerbate the loneliness” according to him, he brings some of Jon and Elias’s things with him when he goes to sea. Not photos, just to make things more difficult for how voyeuristic Watcher, but things like Elias’s favorite coat or the quilt that Jon’s had for years.
- In turn, his presence is always in their home, even when he’s gone. They have what few pictures they can take of him, leave his clothes hanging in the closet and folded in the dresser, keep his toiletries out and a towel set aside for him, don’t put away his spare shoes or coats, etc. They make sure that he’s still there with them.
- This infuriates and pains him.
- N.SFW/ Pre-prison, Jon discovered a fondness for cockwarming under Elias’s desk. This continued when Peter was the head of the Institute, and then when they moved in together.
- They aren’t secretive about their relationship but NO ONE knows the details. It’s the hottesr topic for Institute gossip.
- Elias complains constantly about Peter giving him beard burn, but he’d riot if Peter ever actually shaved.
- In an omegaverse AU, one where Jon is trans, or an AU with some sort of supernatural pregnancy shenanigans, Jon would put his foot down about entity-related childrearing. The Lukases may be obsessed with churning out loneliness floor their god through child neglect and emotional abuse, but Jon will not tolerate that for his children. Their child will be raised with love and will choose their own entity (or no entity at all) when it’s their time. Peter and Elias both accepted this, under threat of Jon leaving if they tried to break that rule.
- Jon likes to nap on Peter’s lap. He is basically just an overgrown cat.
- To keep from hurting Peter with their own Beholding habits, Jon and Elias created a very complex ritual involving the torture and sacrifice of humans to both the Beholding and the Lonely. This is effectively to reassure their entities that they’re still loyal and dedicated, and to ask that they be be allowed to See Peter. This ritual needs to be repeated pretty frequently, but it seems to be working.
- The Lukases actually weren’t too unhappy about the relationship. It strengthens the alliance between the Beholding and the Lonely, and that means less danger for all of them.
- Peter gives the best massages and Jon’s joints haven’t felt this amazing since the early days of his arthritis.
- Jon goes into the Lonely willingly, just so he’s marked like he needs to be, and part of Peter is shattered at how much damage it did. He knew how easily they could hurt him, but never really thought about how much he could hurt them in turn. It was a very sobering realization.
- This was very Peter focused bc I don’t think peterjon gets enough love, sorry!
Hey! I loved your headcannons on jonelias and Jon x Mr.Spider!! Can you please do more?
tired-fandom-ndn:
Yes!!! This will also be a rambling mess, sorry lmao
- The Web likes Jon, and Mr. Spider has a personal investment in him. A person’s first monster, a future avatar’s first brush with the supernatural, is a special sort of relationship.
- All things considered, their interactions were brief and indirect, but Mr. Spider had spent a good, long time observing him beforehand to make sure that everything was in place. The Mother always sent him too protect and mark its potential children, and it’s hard work to choose the right child and get everything to work out just right so that he gets the right meal.
- So Mr. Spider was pretty familiar with Jon already, and VERY familiar with how his patron works. The Web likes children, and most of its chosen are marked young, tiny kids in clothes that don’t fit right, from homes that they don’t fit into right. The Mother draws them in, offers them protection and home and belonging within its web, and Jon fit its usual criteria to a T.
- So Mr. Spider watched and saw this small, shy, and painfully lonely child struggle in the face of rejection from everyone around him. And maybe he got a bit attached. It didn’t start weird, or at least not any weirder than any entity’s involvement in someone’s life, but part of started seeing less Jon as a meal ticket and more as a future companion, a potential agent of the Web.
- So everything carries on as it does in canon. A Guest for Mr. Spider conveniently finds its way into Jon’s hands and the bully very conveniently takes Jon’s place as the next guest and Jon walks away with permanent childhood trauma.
- But it doesn’t end there. Of course.
- Maybe Jon dreams of spiders. Maybe he wakes up wrapped in spider silk. Maybe he feels hungry but somehow non-threatening eyes on him for years afterwards. Maybe, when he gets his first crush, he doesn’t daydream about holding hands with the sweet girl a few houses down or sharing closed mouth kisses with the boy who sits next to him in class. Maybe, instead, he daydreams about sharp fangs and long, bristled legs wrapping around him.
- Maybe he’s horrified by that and disgusted with himself. Maybe he isn’t. Maybe he shoves it down as far as he can. Maybe he doesn’t.
- The first main possibility is that the Web marks him as usual and then gently guides him to the Beholding, a supposed gift and offering, a perfect little Archivist to usher in a new world.
- But maybe the Web regrets letting him go. It didn’t anticipate the loss it would feel when he was claimed by the Eye. It realize how perfect he was for it until he was already gone.
- Or maybe it never intended to let him go fully, not really. He always belonged to the Mother, and what good mother would give her child away so recklessly? But maybe he could belong to both the Web and the Beholding, be a stronger Archivist and more aware Weaver with more eyes to See and more knowledge to Control.
- Or maybe the Web doesn’t want to share. Maybe it decides that Jon’s been the Beholding’s long enough, but it wants its child back now.
- And this is where Mr. Spider comes back into play. Because, as I said earlier, a person’s first monster is special and who’s better to bring a stray Spider back to the Web than the one who marked him as a Spider in the first place?
- There’s a lot of ways Mr. Spider could come back.
- Someone coming in with a statement about a children’s book they recently encountered, relighting Jon’s need to Know, the natural curiosity that led him down this path in the first place.
- Or the book itself reappears. A sudden new addition to Artifact Storage or the Institute library, or slipped into bag somehow didn’t his next shopping trip, or slipped into his flat through the slot. Or maybe it just suddenly pops up in one of his desk drawers. Either way, it’s there and Jon feels just as drawn to it as he did when he was a child.
- Or maybe there’s a knock at the door.
- A low tapping on the door to the supply closet. A sharp little rap on his bedroom door as he tries to sleep. Just constant knocks, on every door, everywhere he goes. Never when anyone else can hear them, but still there. And he Knows what they are. He Knows there’s no human on the other side of the door. He Knows that, it he opens the door for that knocking, he’ll be consumed.
- What he doesn’t know is whether or not that’s a bad thing. He doesn’t know if the knots in his stomach are fear, anticipation, or desire.
- Now his dreams are back. The wet dreams filled with web and fangs from his teenage years are back in his head, and so are the dreams from the perspective of a spider, the ones where he’s settled in a web of his own creation, content in the knowledge that this is his Domain, exactly where belongs.
- OR!!!
- (there’s a lot of ors and maybes in this post, sorry about that)
- Maybe he came into his Becoming before he became the Archivist. Maybe he was a Weaver long before he ever stepped foot in the Institute, safe in his Mother’s Web, secure in his strength and power as an avatar of the entity that controls so much.
- Maybe Mr. Spider never left him and instead stayed his constant companion. In every way.
- In a version with jonelias, this would mean an outright battle. Mr. Spider would be pretty secure in his relationship with Jon, but would still fight to keep him bound to the patron, to make sure that he doesn’t stray too far. And Elias would be FURIOUS that his Archivist has already been claimed, even if the Web is willing to share and even if that claim is what makes him so perfect for his role. Elias would do everything he could to strengthen Jon’s loyalty to him and the Beholding.
- Part of him would realize how much he’s being manipulated, how much Jon is taking advantage of his possessiveness to get their relationship where he wants it. But knowing that you’re just a puppet dancing to someone else’s tune doesn’t make it any easier for you to cut your strings.
- I’m just imagining Jon reaching out to embrace Elias, smiling so gently, while massive spider legs frame him from the shadows.
- I actually have a little ficlet about this posted on ao3 but I don’t want people to read my other shitty ficlets so I might repost it here, let me know if there’s any interest.
ayrias-deactivated20210126:
The struggle of needing to look at jonelias content and the desire to avoid spoiler is killing me dhhd
Also i love how the fandom does the entity names for ships like, lonelyeyes.
But Jon and Elias are both beholding so in my head its just *eyeseyes 👁eyes everywhere👁*
jon-elias:
I can’t stop thinking about Jon confronting Elias and sort of accidentally backs him into a wall and is cornering him and Elias is Flustered™️.
Like holy shit it’s completely different to always keep an eye on Jon versus him being literal inches from his face.
