bastard-men-prefer-jon:

Whatever you do, don’t think about the possibility that it is Jonah himself calling Jon to the Panopticon due to the fact that Jonah won’t feel his victory is complete unless the Archive is with him.  Don’t think about Jonah’s heart skipping a beat when he finally gets to look upon all that Jon is within arm’s reach, the moment when Jonah is at his most human in centuries whilst Jon is at his most gloriously monstrous (monstrously glorious?).

Don’t think about Jon seeming to hesitate when he Sees the way Jonah trembles down to where his soul should be.  You don’t want to get caught up imagining Jon cupping Jonah’s terrified face in both hands and swiping his thumbs across his cheekbones.  Jon could be easing the start of tears, or he might be preparing to core Jonah’s eyes out of Elias’s handsome angular face.

Maybe he’ll snap Jonah’s neck.  Or, perhaps he’ll kiss him.

If the Beholding had breath, it would be holding it.
