Application Information

General Rules
You must be 18+ to participate in the zine. Your social media should include an indication of your age. We will check! If we have any reason to suspect you may be under 18, we may deny your application, or ask for additional supporting information.

This is a pro-fiction, anti-censorship, anti-fascist space. Any applicant whose social media indicates support for or involvement with fascist rhetoric or internet/fandom censorship will be denied.

This is a volunteer, not-for-profit passion project.

Application Requirements
To consider you for the zine, we will need:

A link to your main fandom social media account. Your age MUST be listed somewhere visible.

Artists: 3-5 examples of finished work in the style you intend to use for the zine. For example, if you are an artist wanting to submit full-colour work, be sure to submit examples in full colour. If you want to submit sketches, please submit examples of sketches! If you are interested in type-setting, cover, or layout work, we may ask for additional examples, depending on what you provide in your application.

Writers: 3-5 examples of your writing, AT LEAST ONE OF WHICH must be the type of fiction you intend to submit for the zine. For example, if you wish to submit a drabble, please submit at least one sample of 100 word fiction. If you wish to write a longer format short story (we accept up to 5000 words!), please submit at least one story in that range.

We will also need to see examples of your writing that include Jon and Elias, to get a sense of how you approach the characters. At least one of your examples should include both characters.

Your Discord handle. All participant communication will be through our dedicated Discord server.

Deadlines & Extensions
Please be prepared to work to deadlines. While we understand that life happens and fandom projects sometimes need to be put on hold, we would like to have as few delays as possible, as a courtesy to our participants. Schedule and deadlines will be released after the opening of the Discord.

If you need a deadline extension, please let us know as soon as possible, so we can adjust the schedule. Extension requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis. If you are in need of extensions that would significantly delay production time for the other team members, please understand that we may have to remove your piece from the zine.

We will happily accept pinch-hitters to create additional pieces of writing or art in the event that a participant is unable to complete their piece!
