T’Challa and Tony Stark are friends

teamsharoncarter:

So apparently Tony Stark haters like posting this picture without context, saying that T’Challa hates Tony.

When actually it’s T’Challa being a friend to Tony, slapping the suicide out of Tony.

[Image: T’Challa and Tony in Tony’s lab. Tony: “Well. Assuming we can even get these five phoenixed-out x-men in the same physical space as the suit? There’s a 13% chance of it actually redirecting the energy where it came from and… …yeah, pretty much 100% chance of it killing the suit’s pilot either way. Look, T’Challa, this is my fault, I was the guy that ran off half-cocked and created this problem. If fixing it means a oneway ticket then I’ve earned it–” T’Challa slaps Tony. T’Challa: “Science is failing us and you’re concerned with writing your own ending. That is as unacceptable are your precious little 13%. Science fails. You have failed. You don’t get to kill yourself to escape finding a solution.” Tony: “Any suggestions you got, sucker punch, I’d love to hear them.”]

T’Challa and Tony are science bros. T’Challa has less patience for Tony’s ego, but he knows that Tony has suicidal tendencies, and when he sees them arise, he’s all NOT ON MY WATCH. NO. YOU ARE MY FRIEND AND YOU HAVE A PROBLEM TO FIX, BUT YOU GOTTA FIX IT WITHOUT KILLING YOURSELF GODDAMN IT.

WAKANDA FOREVER

top 5 best comic artist depictions of Tony?

viudanegraaa:

THANK YOU, ANON. I THOUGHT NO ONE WAS GOING TO ASK.

This is no particular order. Also, there are more than five. But really, you can’t make choose between favorites.

Butch Guice:

The panel below is from World Walk Hulk. I really love the musculature, it’s consistent for someone of his stature & physicality. If we take ‘dark’ to mean sad, brooding, & depressive then Tony is definitely tall, dark, & handsome.

Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. #20 (2007)

Adi Granov:

If I had to pick a favorite, it’s this. This is from the first issue of the Extremis arc. It’s the comic I read when I want to remember why I love comics & why I love Tony.

Iron Man #1 (2004)

Alex Maleev:

I love that Tony here doesn’t look like the hyper masculine ideal. He’s not a super soldier, after all. He’s just a man in a can. A very, very good looking man. But still a man…with a weak spot for spies.

International Iron Man #3 (2016)

Leinil Franics Yu:

My second favorite Tony. Yu blessed us with his silver fox President Stark in Secret Wars: Civil War but this panel is just too good. Peak Stevetony angst.

Avengers #29 (2014)

Here are some honorable mentions:

Chris Samnee:

I love his style. Absolutely loved this take on Black Widow & her complicated past with Tony.

Black Widow #6 (2016)

Phil Noto:

Black Widow #12 (2014)

Valerio Schiti:

He’s working on Tony Stark: Iron Man. The cover, which was released a few days ago, is absolutely beautiful.

He nails Tony’s body language.

New Avengers #18 (2014)

Hope that answered your question.

Also, happy 55th birthday to the Golden Avenger.

capntony:

Unedited version of the Tony reacting to his parents death, using “Steve” instead of “Rogers”. Steve holds more impact than Rogers due to the magnificence of RDJ’s acting and the aubile breaks in his voice. - ( BTS Civil War )

tinmancreativestudios:

Last week we had our Tinterns animate scenes from some of our favourite comics to get them used to animating in different styles.  Valerie Garnace animated “Apocalyptigirl” by Andrew MacLean.  If you haven’t read it yet, be sure to go pick it up.
