I just can’t stop thinking about how little Michael sleeps. That he stays at work until the last moment sorting through files and taking statements, and then the next day he comes too early to make tea for Gertrude and the others and clean up a little before the start of the working day. He does everything for others completely forgetting about himself about his dream and sometimes even skips breakfast just to not be late and… Gerry worries a lot about him. Of course he is! So, sometimes he gets up early, just to go together, and let him sleep on his shoulder. Michael won’t listen to his requests to sleep longer anyway, so it’s the least he can do. And he holds his hand, because Michael’s hands are always cold, and tries not to fall asleep himself. Someone has to make sure they don’t miss the stop
one of the good things about being trans is that it awakens you to the reality that given names are super malleable and you can just change it to whatever you want. the unfortunate downside of this is that this will lead to you naming yourself after video game characters
