Hero name: Grey Ghost

Other: She works behind the scenes alongside Oracle and has beef with The Riddler specifically. She became the Grey Ghost when she was 17 after taking down Riddler and Calculator just with her tech skills. It inspired her to be like her favorite city heroes and help people out in any way she could. She decided the name Grey Ghost based on her dad’s favorite old cartoon growing up “The Grey Ghost” and thought it would be meaningful to carry it to honor him. No, she doesn’t have a costume. Yes, she wishes that she did but she also does enjoy heroing behind a screen in sweats

Backstory (summarized): Katherine grew up in Star City until the death of both her parents forced her to move to Gotham to live with her older sister at ten years old. The move was hard on her because she had to leave behind her best friend, Ramona, who she had always lived beside all her life, to go to this strange new city.
Growing up, she showed an interest in coding and learning as much as she could about it. This interest quickly became her whole personality and soon she became an expert. When she was 17, she was able to graduate early and sought a higher education in computer science and engineering. Not long after this happened, her sister was taken as a hostage by Riddler, but by using her own tech skills, she was able to not only locate where Riddler was keeping her but was able to plant a virus in his computer that wiped out his entire computer system, making it unusable. Oracle heard of this feat and gave her props/encouragement for her skills and bravery. This moment inspired her to track down the real Oracle and demand to be taken on as her apprentice so that she can help out in the only way she knows how. And thus, she became the Grey Ghost

How she got her hero name: Grey Ghost came from her dad’s old favorite cartoon he used to watch as a kid. Most of her memories of him was him talking about the episodes in the show and collecting as much merch as possible. She felt like it would only be right to honor him by choosing that name to keep his memory alive to her
We as Batman fans need to accept the hot take that, yes, Bruce is abusive both physically and especially mentally/emotionally. You have people who haven’t read comics go the extreme with each side where one says that he regularly beats all of his kids and the other side that says he is a perfect father and admits his mistakes easily. But personally the worst ones are people who do read comics who also take those same two stances and try to act as if they’re the only right ones simply because they read the comics
Bruce Wayne famously gets in physical fights with Dick and Jason the most. It happened even while Dick was Robin! He famously slapped him, and beat him bloody in order to force him to agree to pretend to stay dead in order to go undercover for a super dangerous spy mission. He manipulates his family, shouts at them, and will occasionally have physical outbursts towards them if they don’t agree with what he wants them to do.
Does this make him abusive? Hell yeah it does.
But does he regularly beat them? Does he instantly resort to violence the moment they step out of line or disrespect him? No. He is a man that has trained himself to be cold and be a soldier first. He struggles to vocalize his feelings, allows darkness to take over his life, and can never allow himself to forgive his own mistakes. This is why Robin is so important to Batman mythos. Batman needs a Robin because he is a deeply flawed person who has oftentimes forgotten that there is light in the world. Which is also why when it comes to his children, he will protect them no matter the costs. He will hunt down Dick’s would-be assassin and leave him with a broken neck in the middle of a blizzard. He would be so upset over Jason’s death, the US government had to send Superman in to prevent him from killing the Joker in revenge. He would lose himself and beat himself up and torture himself with coming up with a million different ways he could’ve kept his Robin safe if any of them had gotten hurt on his watch or because of him.
Bruce Wayne loves his kids more than he loves Gotham, but he is also abusive and negligent, and is far from being the perfect father. We need to see him for what he is and accept that he is complex and can’t be placed in just a shirt and simple box
It really pisses me off seeing this “hot take” constantly about Casskon because they use this as an excuse to shit on anyone who ships it
Because neither has a concrete confirmed sexuality so you can’t say that Cass is a lesbian and Conner is gay just like you can’t say for certain that either of them is straight either. It is up to the interpretation of the consumer. For example, I see Conner as bi and Cass as asexual with an indifference to the gender of her partner, it doesn’t mean that I’m right or wrong. It just means that’s my headcanon
But what I can say for certain is that they both DO have chemistry and you cannot take away the fact that they canonically dated. Sure, it ended but that doesn’t take away from the fact that they did have chemistry and did love each other at one point in their lives
knew this woman who used to be a gay man and when he was a gay man he liked ‘ironically’ referring to himself as she/her and so when he came out as a woman he decided the next logical step was to also switch his pronouns to he/him.

It will always be funny to me that Cassandra is connected to murderers on every side of her family. Biological family? The only one who hasn’t murdered at least a few dozen people is her dead aunt. Adoptive family? The Waynes have Jason, the Gordons have James Jr. Even her only canon ship, with Kon, connects her to freaking Lex Luthor, and if DC makes Stephcass canon, it won’t change that, because Arthur Brown murdered quite a few people on panel. She is the heir to Batman and has family ties to so many assassins and criminals, which is amazing. So much potential.
