S1+2 Jon had me doomed from the start because I specifically have a thing for very composed reserved people losing their composure.
Jon loosening his tie and leaning his head back in his desk chair, exhausted still in the archive at midnight. Jon sliding his hand under his glasses to rub his eyes with an exasperated sigh after a rough statement.
So tightly wound that he’s ready to snap at any moment and all it takes is the tiniest things. Getting heated with Tim who grabs the front of his shirt and suddenly mr high and mighty has no words left. Demanding Elias to take their safety seriously and getting in his face about it for the first time, before freezing realizing Elias is just smirking in response. Martin lightly placing his hand on Jons shoulder just to check in and Jon dramatically jolts in surprise locking eyes with him with an expression that isn’t exactly annoyance for once (Martin will be thinking about this for months).
It’s nothing to do with actually finding his coworkers/employees/boss attractive, it’s just a desperate need for some kind of stress relief. So by the time someone actually comes on to him he’s a mess.
I think in s1 he straightens his hair and is usually clean shaven (maybe a little stubble after late nights). That shit goes out the window in s2 lol
Btw my inspirations/references for Jon are Dev Patel and Rahul Kohli (if ur wondering why my Jon is so beautiful lol) I take some liberties because I still want my Jon to be his own man not just like a fancast, but yeah Dev especially was who I pictured when I first listened to the podcast. Main adjustment is Jon is skinnier, and later on the scars of course.
Owen in Bly Manor (Kohli) is soooooo early seasons Jon looking to me but personality is like opposite lmao. Just put a stick up his ass and make him bitchy.
Dev is in a few roles where he’s like absolutely wrecked looking and its exactly how I see Jon in the later seasons lmao
“Er-” Jon struggles to focus through the double vision, taken aback. Of all the things to- “Not - not really?”
“Mmmm.” It’s hum is pensive and static and it rumbles in Jon’s ears, spreading fractals across his vision. “Neither do I. At least, I do not think I am supposed to?”
“So you- what?”
It giggles, causing a fresh wave of vertigo and nausea, and its wrist slips from Jon’s trembling grasp. “Something to think about, perhaps.”
And then it’s gone, and Jon is very alone, very confused, and very aroused. He doesn’t think he is supposed to be aroused.
If I was in an intimate relationship with a guy who accidentally was becoming an Eldritch All-Knowing Creature but he was trying soooooo hard to respect my boundaries and not Know anything about me… I would simply tell him I don’t really mind as long as he doesn’t judge me or share my personal info. Like thats my boyfriend I was already planning on sharing everything with him.
