It still boggles me how we’re supposed to believe Jon jumped at the chance to start going after those that marked him for the world ending ritual. When the very first time* he does, his voice is literally filled with disgust and horror at what he did without even realizing.

And then Martin tells him not to feel bad and when he listens to his ANCHOR and decides to instead enact revenge… suddenly Jon is an inhuman, bloodthirsty monster hellbent on causing as much pain to others as possible.
