It’s not that Jon doesn’t know what he’s feeling or the name of it, it’s that he can’t find a way to articulate them that won’t make people hate him because throughout his entire life he was shown his emotions and needs are a burden and the only people around him emphasize that him being a burden is punishable first by dehumanization and then by death.
