Thinking about how Martin’s status as an Avatar is wholly separate from himself. I’m directly talking about Also Martin. How, in order to show both Martin’s domain AND keep him the ‘human’ to Jon’s ‘monster’ they literally made another him. When we have no other indication that it was something other Avatars of any type did. And is pretty fucking antithetical to the Lonely as a concept. Martin completely denied the fact that he also perpetuated trauma and could CONTINUE TO DO SO because the one causing the trauma was physically an entirely different being.

Meanwhile Jon was literally puppetted as an eight year old and his paranoia at possibly having his autonomy taken from him AGAIN as an adult was laughed at and a sign of him deflecting blame.
