Febuwhump Day 2: Holding back tears
((You can find all prompts I filled out so far here. This one is a short poem, set around the later season 4 of TMA. It’s Daisy-centric :D))
The earth is hard against her skin
And Daisy is trapped far within
She cannot move, she cannot cry
Can’t breathe or call for help or die
Her fingers bleed against the stone
As tectonic plates around her groan
A shift of stone, a muffled scream
and then she wakes up from the dream
Still in the bed where she went to sleep
The man who wanted to help keep
The nightmares away is with her still
The man who she once tried to kill
But the archivist is soundly sleeping
And so she keeps herself from weeping
Tough tears are stinging in her eyes
Not a single drop she cries
Good dogs do not howl at night
No matter what deep fears they fight
And so she holds her blanket tight
Until new sleep or morning light
