how could I not understand that? that’s not even analysis or thinking deeply, that’s literally just stated in the podcast. Going with other Fears COULD have worked, because “the fear of being different from others around you” can fit into so many different Fears depending on the nuance - from The Corruption to The Stranger to The Eye, and definitely others. Could also very much apply to “the fear that no-one will understand you.” that could so easily apply to even, like, The Dark, or The Eye or The Spiral/Stranger with just a little rejigging. Neither of those ideas are at all unique or particularly special - literally everyone feels like that - so obviously they’re going to be a facet of multiple different Fears.
This blog genuinely fascinates me /pos because as someone who is incredibly neutral on Martin, I find myself agreeing with so many of your point (other than the lonely, but that’s more so because of the overlapping fears, but that’s neither here nor there). He’s honestly the least interesting of the original cast and he made it to the end. And the mischaracterizing of him and Jon in favor of jmart is infuriating.

Simply curious, why do think the lonely isn’t a real fear?
I’ve ranted enough abt this before on my account, I go a lot more in-depth if you look for it, but basically I just think that it is a very boring Fear that can easily be picked up by any of the others (e.g. Corruption or Stranger for the fear that there’s something wrong with you and thats isolating you, or Vast for a more existential loneliness, or really like any others.) Obviously the interactions between Fears are like one of the more interesting parts, but I just feel like there’s not anything unique enough to The Lonely to justify it being a whole Fear for itself. I think that it was only created as a proper fear because of Jmart.
Every day I consider making an nsfw t/m/a confessions blog but then i consider how many submissions would be people horny for martin and i decide that maybe having somewhere to anonymously declare my desire to see jon well-bred just isn’t worth it

ok so I'm genuinely curious how and why you dislike Martin bc you say he's boring and unlikable but honestly I feel like he has a pretty solid arc regarding how much he just goes along with and is willing to to put up with, he lets peter hurt and isolate him bc he thinks that's what he has to do to help his friends, but in the end he's much more outspoken about his own needs and desires and I really enjoy it
