I would say Martin would be more bearable if he went to therapy, but he definitely would refuse to go. He's sort of obsessed with his own sadness to the point where it's just annoying. I understand, I do, I also have mental health struggles and sometimes being low feels safer than being okay, but that's bad and something that needs to be worked through. He wouldn't even say he doesn't need therapy, he knows he does. He's just be like

heh.. yeah. I guess I probably do, I am super messed up.. maybe that's why nobody's ever loved me...

And then he'd go to one session, the therapist would tell him he's the problem, and he'd never go back
