Today I stumbled upon a tiktok video of someone headcanoning Martin as Danish. I thought it was nice, presumably somebody slapping their own nationality onto a character that they like. And i commented on the video with my own headcanon, for Jon this time, bc i do have a little self-indulgent and frankly unrealistic headcanon of his nationality that i rotate in my mind for fun.

And the user commented "isn't he south asian tho...?" And it KILLED ME. WHAT DO YOU MEAN? The podcast character? Voiced by a white Brit?

They said sorry, and it's not like i hold a grudge against them or whatever. But it was SO WEIRD? I was speechless for a minute
