Wonderland is one of my favorite episodes of The Magnus Archives, towards the end of the series you start to see the horror become more real, less distant from reality. There’s something my older sibling said once that always stuck with me about the episode. I don’t remember their exact wording, but it was about how wonderland was one of the scariest episodes to them because thinking that your perfectly normal, your not disabled or anything, and your just a screw-up is so much more terrifying than any horror story for a very different reason. It’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately and even though I don’t get that fear as much as a lot of other people, I still felt so heard the first time I listened to that episode, and it just felt really powerful to me. Also, the comment Martin made about finding out that you don’t have a disorder being a good thing was such a nice touch!!! Like, they could have just stopped talking about Wonderland and moved on, but that single comment made that whole episode like, 30 times better. Because he misses the point, THE WHOLE FEAR IS THAT YOU ARE FINE!! Because if you do have some form of disability than the thought that that’s all there is, and that that’s normal is terrifying because that means your whole life has been a lie. DEAR GOD I LOVE THIS PODCAST!!! Also, wasn’t the name of the husband in the homophobic vase episode… David?

this is crazy it’s like we’re destined to be opposites because i think that episodes kinda overhyped
