super not the point but my petty version of this is whenever I read a fic where Jon is taller than Martin. Just no, gimme my tall, fat, physically strong w shit endurance Martin who’s had to make himself small both physically and socially his entire life and my skinny 5’4” twink Jon who’s been trying to stander taller than he is his entire life and has a permanent limp/uses a cane due to worms
the slightly less petty version of this is that I cannot stand White Jon. Personally my favorite headcanon is South Asian Jon, but I’ve seen lots of people use him to describe their own underrepresented cultures and I think that’s really beautiful. Except for White Jon: it gives me the creeps and I don’t even really know why aside from it feels like whitewashing even though his ancestry is never touched on in canon. In my head Martin is/speaks Polish and on top of everything also had to be the medical translator for his mom and Tim is Korean bc I read one fic where he brought in his mom’s kimchi to share with the s1 archives crew and it rewired my brain a bit, but it’s fun to see other people’s interpretations and White Tim does not give me the same creeps as White Jon.

To go back to op’s point: I hate reading your takes so I have you blocked. I don’t think you have a good faith reading of Martin in the text and I have too much shit to deal with for me to care about it, so I’ve preemptively made sure you won’t bother me. That’s it.
