every time I remember that Helen straight up said Jon isn't good enough for martin and will never deserve him only for martin to not say anything in his defense or to even comfort him I get so mad. like who treats their partner like that
It is so. Fucking. Crazy to me. That throughout season 5 Martin treated Jon less like a romantic partner and more like a child he's forced to babysit against his will. But then right at the very end he makes Jon go along with the Web's plan because he "loves him" and "couldn't possibly bear to lose him". And the entire fandom treats it like the most romantic thing ever
