The disappearance of Robert Kelly (from MAG Ep. 21 - Freefall)

This was one of the early episodes that made me fall in love with The Magnus Archives, and a scene I could never get out of my mind, I’ve been wanting to draw it.

“the chill of the ice always woke me up long before I could do anything with it”

another chilling scene from an early episode of TMA that I had to draw (MAG Ep. 2 - Do Not Open)

john having a normal one

aka. that one scene where he unleashes an eldritch being of dread on some random woman in a coffee shop

teenage sasha, martin, john and tim as scouts just telling scary stories around the campfire… what could’ve been

Art-deco inspired poster of john and the Beholding. Had a lot of fun with this, thinking of making more in this style for the other Fears!

Helen Richardson as The Distortion! This is the second poster for the Fears now that I’ve made, and I thought that for this one, she called for a more abstract style

This is most likely the end of my set of posters on the Fears. The Vast and the Buried complement each other well, and I tried to bring that out here.

The Vast gives you freedom to roam with nothing in the way, but nowhere to go to. You could walk for miles and the land would be entirely indifferent, as if you hadn’t taken a single step. The Buried gives you the promise of the surface, a way out, so close yet so far, if only you could move. Endless nothing, or endless everything. Two entirely different hells.

I am of the opinion that TMA could be vastly improved if the Fears had more animal avatars. In that vein, here is Michael The Distortion as a cat! John’s little gremlin creature who he hates (adores)

“Thank you for teaching us the insides”

From MAG 34, statement of Dr. Lionel Elliot, regarding a series of events that took place during his class, Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology

normal morning for Gertrude

sometimes you have to do some dangerous sleuthing to find out and stop a Fear ritual, other times you literally see a Lukas ad in the paper and all you need to do is make a quick phone call
