You have no idea how many people lurk on your work. No idea how many times people go back to revisit your work. How big they smile when they simply think about your work. How fast their heart beats, how excited they get when they see that you posted something.
People are shy with their feedback. Sometimes it’s because they’re simply shy. Other times it’s because they assume you already know how great and talented you are. Could be both.
My point is, even if you barely have any likes or reblogs, don’t get discouraged. You have a lot of silent fans, but they are still your fans. Keep on creating. Because there is always someone out there who will love what you have made.
Your first mistake in art is thinking you draw men and women inherently differently
I’m serious, this is genuinely not a joke. There’s no wrong way to do art but you do make a mistake when you think that you draw men and women differently without any overlap or gray area, like they’re two opposites and that’s how they’ll always be FOREVER. Treating two genders as vastly different is absolutely the incorrect way to think about things and considering how anatomy is one of the first things you practice when you start drawing human or human adjacent characters, it becomes harder and harder to unlearn as time goes on
When learning to draw, you need to understand that there’s more body types for ALL genders than just “flat as a board with no hips” and “slightly thinner waist with larger chest”
I really wanted to do a proper monster!jon design, usually they boil down to guy with a lifetime eye subscription but personally I think it’d be cool if he was no longer even humanoid,,
So, imagine the eyepocalypse but everything is. Even more wrong. Instead of regular Jon walking around with Martin it’s this thing, he can technically still speak like this, only trough tape recorders and there’s an unmistakable sound of recorded crying/wailing playing under his words.
Sometimes when he’s especially upset there’s no words and the recorded crying of all the world trapped in a fearscape hell is all that plays, occasionally the tape rewinds during this or there’s scratches in the recording.
