The end is the end is the end…

The end is the end is the end…
I think everyone’s contributions to the discussion were valid and overall they all raised pretty good points.
Except for Bassira Hussain and her self-righteous opinion that not taking any action is better that doing something morally wrong.
I mean if someone was slowly stabbing me to death I would probably be grateful if you just went and slit my throat instead of just standing by.
I was really scared when Jon said he’s gonna have a smoke because last time he did that someone was brutally pipe murdered to death… 👀
Martin: I said that I love but that I’m not going to doom the world over it.
Martin: However I never said I wouldn’t doom the ✨worldS✨ over it…
Possibly unpopular opinion
I don’t think that any of the options they had and any decision they could have made was worse or better than the others.
However it was such a great philosophical debate. I loved it!

“What a nice statements you’ve got there. Would be a shame if something happened to them-…”
Callback to season three before tomorrow since it looks like some statements are gonna burn.
My girlfriend graciously allowed me share her cosplay of Martin Kartin Blackwood.

“So it all comes back to that lighter, huh?”
You might have seen my cosplay of Elias but I also kin the Archivist as well so of course I had to do cosplay too.
Holding that damn lighter since I want to be relevant…
(amazing wig, make up, scars and the photo by @trustworthy-liar)
Only valid reason to hate Jon is because he likes raisins.
Since it’s popular to make tma finale prediction…
I think that the episode 199 will start in the middle of things happening. We think they are going with Annabelle’s plan but then we realized they aren’t fully. We don’t know why or what’s their real plan. It’s still very dramatic we hope in explanation but we get only glimpses of it. It ends on cliffhanger.
The episode 200 will actually start with recording taking place right after 198 which will finally explain certain things from 199. Then the taperecorder will clip because the “flashback” was on tape. Now we are in the present where everything is solved. Some remaining character will explain what happened after the ending of of 199. Someone is definitely dead.
Anyway I don’t really believe it will go anything like that I just think it would be cool.
.

My headcannon is that Tim wears Hawaiian shirts because in Magnus instute dress code is vaguely as always only written that you have to wear a shirt but it’s not specified what kind of shirt…
Here’s a trend I noticed with Jonathan Sims.
Jon thinks very carefully before he speaks. Trying to explain what he wants or what he is going through or what he Knows/knows is always a slow and meticulous process. It always takes him a moment after someone asks him a question to get to the response. He searched for accurate wording thoughtfully and when finally answering, his explanations are pretty clear and comprehensible for the most part. When forced to answer quickly is when things become unclear and frustratingly vague.
But the people he deals with are some of the most impatient people I’ve heard in my life (and yes this includes Martin up to a certain point in the apocalypse when he actually understands Jon’s thought process).
Seriously! I’ve been relistening to some interactions between him and Tim, Melanie, Georgie, Basira and when they ask him a question and he, heavens forbid, takes a moment which is obviously to consider how to best word his response, they beat him to the punch by impatiently nagging him to get on with it, to be more clear, to start talking already.
It really feels like there is a double standard with responses from Jon. On one hand people expect him to explain himself clearly but then on the other hand also want it done quickly and in their pace. And for Jon it just. Doesn’t work like that. You want a fast answer? It’ll be vague and need elaboration. You want a comprehensive explanation? Let him take his time, goodness.
Reason #47385848 why the neurodivergents have latched onto this man.
#I still stand by my stance that perhaps the only people to interact with this man 100% sans ire or impatience or overtly malicious intent #were Sasha Gerry and Oliver #everyone else (Martin included) all have moments where they jump down Jon’s throat for just–what? Explaining things? #Being ‘too ominous’ when trying to describe THE LITERAL HELLSCAPE around them? #it’s a trait of the show I’ve never understood #because while he does have a a few theatric mannerisms Jon really doesn’t speak that differently compared to the others #but because of the things he’s forced (often literally) to talk about he gets branded as being weird about it #ugh via @apocalypsokane
All of this is so accurate! Also they often seem to forget that a lot of the time Jon is trying to verbalize things that are not meant to be verbalized or have never been described before which is…not easy. There’s also a curious disregard for Jon’s emotional state from others. They’re very keen to lecture him about how things affect them and what he should do to see to their emotional needs but they rarely seem to want to know what they can do to see to his needs or to even think about it. Often they seem actively disinterested in Jon’s wants or opinions.
Og lonelyeyes (by which I mean Jonah / Mordechai) is basically Pride and Prejudice…
(based on dialog with @trustworthy-liar)
Since there’s lots of negativity about tma season five lately I’ve just wanted to say that tma season five is my favorite.
Now I’m not talking plotwise but strictly statementwise.
I was really skeptical at first with In the Trenches but it really hit me hard? So did The Sick Villiage! And almost every other as well!
I really love the new more experimental style. So far my favorite statements were the wierd one usually Spiral ones like Fatigue or Upon the Stairs. And almost every episode in season five is like that.
I love how the Revolutions is this wierd poetry, the email from Oliver Banks in Roots, the second person p.o.v. on Wonderland and one of my all time favorite the script in Strung Out.
I don’t like every episode for example The Great Beast was a bit if disappointment but over all? I love the statements in season five.
I understand why some people don’t and that they miss the realism and that’s fine and valid. I just wanted to say that as much as some people dislike the statement thus season other people like me absolutely love these statements! 👀
I don’t think that inclusion of the cult was pointless.
But in the end I just want to say that I understand frustration and I’m not saying anyone criticizing Jonny for inclusion of the cult is wrong I just wanted to offer my perspective on this.
Honestly until the mild backlash I haven’t even thought about the cult too much. But I never really expected them to play any other role in the finale than stakes for Georgie and Melanie…
Whether you’re referring to our (least?) favorite Eyevatar as Elias Bouchard or Jonah Magnus it has completely different energy.
All the tma fans after mag 197: Oh so now it really starts. Only three episodes left and there is still so many things to wrap up and resolve. I cannot wait for all the action-
Jonny: So I’ve heard you all missed some good old statement…
Martin internally: Oh boy I cannnot wait to show my boyfriend how well I can row. I quite likes lakes actually. This will be fun-
The Eye: Oh you do?! You caused my dear Archivist so much worries you don’t deserve nice things! Now what’s the opposite of lake…
This episode was not so heavy plotwise but the message is quite clear:
They are at the end of not only real one but also metaphorical ladder.
This world is on the end of the metaphorical ladder.
There really is nothing else to do but jump and go with Annabelle’s plan, huh?
Do you want to write fanfic about Jonah Magnus taking place in regency era but you’re not sure what kind of language to use or how to accurately portray society at that time?
Let me recommend you any book written by Jane Austin!
I mean she’s real life author who lived during the regency era and who wrote mostly about upper middle class or upper class. Manners, society, language, culture, time it usually takes to travel from one spot to another, seasonal habits (are you even rich if you’re not spending winter in London?) and letter etiquette - it’s all there.
So if you have struggles writing about Jonah and his simp club just try reading Pride and Prejudice first…
After he decided to dedicate his life to the Lonely Mordechai Lukas invited Jonah Magnus to visit him in Moorland house exactly twice.
First time he only welcomed him and then made sure not to see him at all for the rest of his stay. He was just feeding on his loneliness while Jonah was frustrated wandering all alone through his home.
He invited him again few years later but he forgot to consider that Jonah has his own patron he serves and in those years he got much better grasp of his own powers. The entirity of his stay Jonah was just running into Mordechai because he Knew where he was. Of course Jonah always pretended that all of their encounters were completely accidental and what a coincidence it is to meet on some very unusual place Mordechai was hiding at the moment…
Mordechai never invited Jonah at his place ever again after that. (Which doesn’t mean he never actually visited him without invitation.)
I’m not so much afraid of which tragic ending tma will have. I’m only afraid there might not be one…
Peter: You are the worst person I’ve ever met!
Elias: Considering how much you tend to avoid any social interaction it’s hardly even an insult…

Here let me share some more of my cosplay of Elias Bouchard in these trying times…
Look at my beautiful weed socks! 👀
(also if you wanna look at other pics of my cosplay feel free to… 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 )
Honour the legacy of Tim Stoker and when you have to go, go with a blast!
To: whoever who will inevitably die in flames of burning Archives
Every day I find new fanarts of Jane Prentiss and on some of them she is drawn concerningly hot…
Thoughts on some of my favorite takes on lack of communication in lonelyeyes in no particular order:
…the point is that in the end all of above looks exactly the same because of the need to keep the other one at arm’s length.
Since we have existence of alternative dimensions confirmed, doesn’t it mean that our fanfics are cannon in some of them?
Web’s back-up plan is basically self-fulfilling prophecy
Let me explain!
First the back up plan of the Mother of puppet’s if any ritual ever succeeded is The Hilltop Road - the somewhere marked by all fears. All the fears are also captured into tapes which could pull all the them into another dimension with right cataclysmic event, right? (Okay, I might simplify it or straight out mess up some detail but not the point now)
Annabelle said that no one knows how it’ll go in the new reality and someone performs successful ritual again. So it’s really just a way how to escape from the End and get a new victims to feed on.
But for such a back up plan the Web needed to find the best person to record the tapes - Jon. And so the Web started coercing Jon, giving him the right pushes, leading him and also giving him on silver plate to Jonah Magnus.
I mean… Wouldn’t it be much easier just keep preventing rituals from happening? Only one who actually managed to figure out way for ritual to works was Jonah. Wouldn’t it be easier to kill him? Or if it’s not subtle enough then just keep sending useless Archivists his way?
Or maybe at least literally not give him the one perfect person which Web picked? (even if the Web needed Jon to work for the Eye and also be marked by all entities how hard would it be to let Jonah’s fucking “Apologies for the deception…” to get lost in mail?)
So my conclusion is that if the Web never started creating a back up plan they might as well not need any back up plan.
I’m not saying that the Web basically played itself but it did.

It’s too good to be true…
On that note I will be actually really disappointed if it all won’t end up in delicious tragedy…
Hello, all my fellow Jonah’s simps and Eliasfuckers… Good news is we might see him once again! The bad one… uh… Lets talk about that one later.
Jonah: There’s absolutely nothing special about you, Jon. You were just convenient. 🙄👁️
Annabelle: You’re our chosen one, Jon. You’ve always been. 😉🕷️
The discussion between Jon, Bassira and Annabelle has vibes of two philosophy majors having debate while mathematic major is trying keep up with them and make some sense from what they’re saying…
Annabelle: The lighter is really important for everything to work, Jon. :)
Jon: Thanks for telling me. Would be shame if something happened to it then. :))
Cast of episode mag 197:
Jon “so I was the chosen one after all” Sims
Martin “I’m still salty about the spider thing” Blackwood
Bassira “I can take a lot but I draw line at alternative realities” Hussain
Annabelle “Yes, I could look less threatening and Martin could look less trapped but I will chose drama” Cane
Can we the take on Martin from mag 196 stop calling Web Martin a start rather using “bunch of spiders in a trench coat” Martin?
Tim has vibes of someone who would like pineapple on pizza…
Why isn’t Michael Shelley x og Elias more popular ship? I mean it’s such a delicious tragedy?
Imagine Elias being Michael’s only friend. One day Elias is just complaining that James Wright took interested in him and made him his assistant and possible successor or something and few days later Wright is death and Elias tells Michael that he has no longer interested continuing their friendship…
I had close encounter with the Avatar of the Beholding… 👁️👁️

@trustworthy-liar gave me these amazing stickers! 👁️
Every time I see new fanart of Martin filled with spiders I hope it will confuse and scare the shit out of someone who’s not caught up yet…
The most dedicated anti-vaxxers and conspiracy theorists are just avatars of the Distortion. The next ritual will be just one big disinformation campaign…
