Peter would get that cheesy tattoo with name of your loved one in a heart.
However he would pretend he forgot Jonah’s current name and gets there tattood James instead of Elias.
Sometimes I just randomly remember that there’s about two centuries age difference between Peter and Elias…
Elias: I sure do like lies.
Elias: I meant eyes. You know in eye designs and stuff. Haha autocorect
Jon: This is verbal conversation…
I think Peter is a little spoon.
You know he tries to turn his back to Elias so he cannot attempt to cuddle with him but out of sudden he’s spooned.

Day 7 - Legacy
Why would a man care about immortality of his name when he himself is no longer alive to see his fame?
…
Jonah Magnus was sitting in the dim light of the candles behind the desk in his office. It has been few a years since the Magnus Institute got connected to the electricity grid of London; however even as electricity has been becoming a norm in growing number of buildings the reliability has barely improved.
There has been something almost calming about the gentle shine on top of the candlestick. It reminds him off his beginnings when he would spent long nights studying, trying to understand all the rules of the world around him and find a way to break them. Sometimes he hasn’t even noticed when exactly the candle burned out and was replaced by the daylight.
He smiles and as a force of a habit reaches to fondly stroke the skull sitting on his table. Barnabas always used to scold him for the lack of rest… On its way his hand shuffles some papers lying in the way… Ah, yes, an unfinished letter from another deceased acquaintance he used to call a friend long time ago.
It has been a week since the funeral of Robert Smirke. That’s where he received the paper scrambled with his last lines. Jonah has been given the letter by Smirke’s daughter. She said he died of stroke right in the middle of writing it. She expressed hope that her father managed to put in the words all the things he wished and that she is glad she was at least able to deliver it for him. Jonah simply nodded, thanked her and expressed his condolences.
None of the things she told him was news for him. He hasn’t bothered to read the letter yet since he knows word from word what is written there. Nevertheless he is glad she had given it to him. It would be shame not to have it in his collection. Also it was at least some consolidation prize for sitting through such a dreadfully boring event.
He didn’t know what he expected. Maybe some of the old peers whom has cut the contact with him long time ago to make an appearance? No, he has been sadly keeping an eye on all of them hoping for a sudden surprise. Jonathan is still hiding somewhere in Switzerland. Mordechai could as well be dead and he would never know for he could no longer see through the thick fog of the Forsaken surrounding the Moorland house. Sampson Kempthorne still hasn’t even heard the news as he lives in the New Zeland. And George Gilbert Scott is apparently too busy overseeing building of the Albert Memorial in Hyde Park to attend. Or so he claims. Robert’s and his views were always way too conflicting so showing up on his funeral might be interpreted as mocking.
Honestly they have not missed anything. Everyone was talking about what was Robert like. About all of his work. About the great legacy he is leaving behind. Jonah was doing his best not to scoff too loudly because the whole ceremony was truly laughable. Robert was a coward who got scared of his own studies and narrow minded idiot who thought he could bring balance through architecture. One cannot find a middle ground on battlefield. Stupid fool. It is really a shame he didn’t last few days longer. Jonah would love to show him how wrong he was…
Alas that is a part of life. You live, you die and then you are gone. And some people leave behind buildings. Some people leave behind just bones. And some people disappear like they weren’t there at all.
What is really the point? Why should he care about world he is no longer part of? What good are words of praise when he cannot hear them? What are tears good to a corpse? It has been years since he first asked himself these questions.
Jonah lowers his hand from the skull and folds the letter. He needs to add it to the others later. He moves the candle closer so he can better see the plans of the Milbank prison in front of him.
He wondered no longer. No. He is certain now that there is no point to it all. For example he loves his institute dearly but as soon as he dies he could not care if it burns to the ground. Because he would be dead. Why should he care what will be left behind him when he dies? Why should he care if the world keeps spinning? Why should he care if someone will think about him fondly or if there will only be a line of people wanting to spit on his grave?
He accepted existence of death and its power to wipe even the most brilliant mind blank.
However he still hasn’t accepted that such a fate might await him.
He doesn’t intend that to happen. Those years and years of research then learning then understanding then planning but it will all finally pay off. He is close to reaching his goal. Finishing his ritual. If Robert’s old man whining was good for anything then it at least told his plans really can succeed.
He will finish a ritual and bring the gaze of the Eye upon the world. He will turn the world to the liking of the Ceaseless Watcher. And he will be able to Behold it all and live forever as the King of the Ruined World.
Jonah is not interested in legacy which could be left behind.
He will create something wonderful and then live through it all.

Day 6 - Celebration
The easiest way to assure Jonah Magnus will show up somewhere is to not invite him.
…
If someone wandered here on accident they would be more likely to assume they crushed someone’s funeral than a wedding. That said it would be hard to just accidentally wander to the mansion surrounded by moors in the middle of nowhere.
And yet it is exactly something that happened to one particular gentleman in a green tailcoat - or at least that is what Jonah Magnus plans to claim if anyone asks him what he is doing here since his wedding invitation must have gotten lost by the postal service. Or simply it has never been written and send. Something tells him it is the latter option. (That something is Eye. As per usual offering him mostly useless information, never the thing he truly wishes to know.)
It has been a few years since he has visited Moorland house. He has been here only twice and both times he had to basically invite himself. The house itself looked exactly the same as he remembered. Maybe even a bit more dark and gloomy but it is probably because it is quite foggy this morning…
However there is one new thing. Next to the house is standing a newly built chapel where the ceremony is about to be held. Of course, even for his own wedding Mordechai apparently cannot get out of his current state of isolation and leave his estate. He hasn’t visited any gentleman gathering in London for quite a while and even most of his business he handles by correspondence these days.
Since no one is still paying him any attention he decides to approach the new building and carefully lurk inside. Few of Mordechai’s relatives are already sitting in the benches few of them are even engaged in quiet conversation. Right next to the altar is nervously standing Mordechai’s future wife. They very likely haven’t given her any instruction where to wait or whether she can sit or when will her to-be-husband arrive.
Even though her dress is completely new, it looked like someone was wearing them for years. It was mostly because of their color – that shade of blue which, unless under direct light, looked much more like gray. The whole design is also quite simplistic which must be intentional choice and not issue of money. The Bride herself looks rather plain. She started the day with a bright smile which turned to a nervous one then a polite one and now she is not smiling at all. (He would not really need a power of the Beholding to guess that.)
Jonah slips back out. Mordechai must be still in the Moorland house then. He surely won’t mind if he just lets himself inside will he? He enters the large empty halls of the house and he shivers. The weather outside isn’t exactly warm yet it seems to be even colder inside the building. He makes only few steps in when a servant blocks his way.
“I am sorry, sir, guests are not supposed to be here yet.” He tells him with monotone soulless voice. (Of course, now the Eye stays silent. It could not warn him someone is approaching, could it?)
“Apologies I must have gotten lost. I will let myself out.” Jonah puts on a charming smile. He hoped to stay unnoticed a bit longer but that has probably been a quite unrealistic ambition on his part he musts admit considering there is maybe ten people in total including the parson from nearest church which is here to perform the ceremony.
“It’s… wait, may I see your invitation, sir?” the servant gives him suspecting look. What has given him off? The smile, or the fact that he is, unlike rest of the guests, dressed in more than one color?
“Ah yes about that…”
“It is quite long way from Edinburgh to just get lost in the moors of Kent, Mr. Magnus.”
As if he materialized out of nowhere Mordechai Lukas appears and for once he seems to be almost in a good mood. He doesn’t have to say anything for the servant to disappear as quickly as possible head shamefully down. He will still probably be in trouble later – Mordechai hates seeing servants and being in any way reminded about their existence.
Jonah lets the smile from his face disappear and put on a more serious one. “I wish you good morning as well, Mr. Lukas. Have you not expected to see me here today?” As he is facing him of course he cannot help himself but look at his clothes of choice. If Jonah hasn’t known he would not suspect him to be a groom as his attire is almost identical to his every day wear. Though the dark gray is truly a shocking change from his usual a bit lighter shade of gray or blue.
“On the contrary. I knew you wouldn’t show up if I did invite you therefore I chose not to.” The thing about Mordechai is that he never smiles. However sometimes corners of his mouth rise into a mean grin. Usually when he beats someone in cards, makes fool out of someone or catches Jonah of guard.
“Why do you even want me present?”
“Why do you think so?” Mordechai makes a step forward and leans towards him almost as if he wanted to kiss him. “Just to enjoy the loneliness reeking of you, of course. Tell me Jonah don’t you feel a bit rejected right now? Abandoned? Lonely?”
Jonah scoffs. “Those are all quite bold accusations which all come from a false assumption that I care about you or your marital status.”
“You are here Mr. Magnus. That is enough of a proof for me”
“Have you built this chapel just to have more privacy for the wedding?”
Mordechai shrugs. “It will be good for funerals too.”
“Your future wife is already waiting for you inside. How do you like her? ”
“I don’t know. I haven’t met her nor seen her yet.”
“Of course you haven’t,” Jonah has done his research naturally. She was almost three times younger. An orphan with a good family name but no relatives to take care of her and very little money. The offer from such a well-off gentleman must have seen like a lucky miracle to her. Naïve girl. Jonah feels almost sorry for her for he is certain she would have bigger chance to find happiness living as a beggar on the street than being married to Mordechai. “She is actually quite pretty. For a woman I mean,” Jonah decides to inform him, “Though I don’t think she is your type”
“I don’t care about her looks. All that is important is that she will be able to bear a child.”
“You intend to have children?” Jonah asks surprised. Yes one usually gets married to start a family but in Mordechai’s case… He would hate to sound like the world is spinning around him but he would not be surprised if he learnt Mordechai has done this just to spite him. In any case he thought he plans to isolate the girl in loveless marriage without any kind of affection or even marital action from her husband. “I hate to criticize your plans, dear friend, but starting a family doesn’t sound very lonely.”
Mordechai is still smiling as if Jonah was missing some hidden joke. “I reconsidered my approach but worry not it is all to serve the Forsaken“
“As you say… In that I cannot wait to get better acquainted with your spouse and even with your future offsprings.”
“I will make sure to keep them far away from you. I do not wish for you to attempt meeting them in any way.” There is threat in tone of his voice. As if it could really intimidate Jonah. But no need to dwell on this topic too much right now.
“As long as I am getting funding for my institute I have no reason to intervene with your affairs any closer.”
“I have a good reason for my mistrust. As for example I remember there has been no issue with the founding lately and yet you are here right now.”
“You are contradicting yourself haven’t you said you expected me to arrive? In any way I think I’ve seen all that I needed to.”
“Since you traveled all the way here do you really wish not to stay for the wedding itself? There will be a cake afterwards.”
Eye decides to provide him with further details. (Why? Why does the Beholding consider this information of all necessary?) The cake has been soaked in brandy and covered with almond icing. It sounds delicious. If Jonah didn’t know any better it might really persuade him to stay. But he didn’t come all the way just so Mordechai could mock him with his marriage. He came here only to gain more information. Because he wanted to See and Know more about future plan of his acquaintance. That is all.
“As delightful as your ceremony will certainly be; I already have different plans. So please do not let me hold you and keep your bride waiting.”
“In that case goodbye, Mr. Magnus,” Mordechai gives him a one more cold smile and there is sense of finality in his farewell. Does he think this is how their ways will part? That is rather silly of him. And so Jonah returns the smile.
“May your marriage be filled with joy and happiness. See you soon, Mr. Lukas.”

Day 5 - Dreams
Both Jonah and Barnabas had very nice dreams that night. However they could not differ more.
…
The world is in chaos. The chaos is being watched. Everything is being watched. The world is under surveillance and no one can escape it. The more one hate the feeling of being seen the more eyes are on them. No one can escape. Everyone is being perceived. The eyes are everywhere. Watching. Juduging. Knowing. There is no point trying to hide. It is impossible. All the little secrets one holds are now for everyone to behold. Everyone is being constantly examined and they can do nothing about it.
The world is gone. It is in the ruins and those ruins are being Known and Seen and Perceived as well. Because everything is. And the one in charge the Witness, the Beholder, the Watcher… It is him. He is in charge of this world and it is beautiful because he knows he created it. It would not be here if it wasn’t for him. He rightfully deserved his reign.
The dream would be terrifying to the most. It seems beautiful to Jonah Magnus. The knowledge is flowing though him and it feels ecstatic. It is too much. It is not enough. There is Crown on his head and he is the King of this ruined world.
Jonah is vaguely aware this all is a dream. The shapes of the world are not fully clear. The feelings are missing certain level of satisfaction. And also he cannot remember how he’s gotten here. He knows it is his creation. Of course it is; it must be! Yet no matter how hard Jonah is trying to remember the dream doesn’t tell him how to achieve the world. Not even a hint. It exists; it lures him in with promise of unlimited knowledge and immortal glory but how to create it? The dream is beautiful but it is not real he wants to know. He needs to know. If only he could focus there must be some clue how to achieve this perfect world he feels he is close but then-…
“Jonah, dear, are you aware you need to get up at some point?” There is a kiss on his cheek. There is a kiss on his lips. There is a kiss on his neck. There is more kisses and-
The dream is gone. He is lying in bed which is not exactly his but he has woken up here enough times he might call it that. There is his dear friend lying in the bed next to him having no idea how unwelcome is his interruption.
“I am awake, Barnabas,” Jonah whines and turns his back toward him. He closes his eyes again in the pointless hunt for the feeling that is no longer there. He knows the dream was important but the details are slipping between his fingers every second and it is so hard to focus because-…
“Are you? It doesn’t look like it Mr. Magnus!” Barnabas pulls him into a hug and the tight grip around his waist will now certainly prevent him from falling asleep. However it feels nice. And it is so tempting to let those dreams disappear and focus on the warmth of the body next to him.
“You keep insisting on me going to bed. Now you keep insisting on me getting out of it. You should decide and settle on one Mr. Bennett you are sending me contradicting messages.”
“Ah, yes! How dare I interrupt you in the middle of the night after ten hours of sitting behind that table of yours and try to persuade you to finally lie your smart head down! And how dare I try to suggest you might leave the embrace of blankets behind when the sun is up several hours. You missed the breakfast and there is a high chance you might miss the lunch as well!”
“There is still dinner?” Jonah suggests upon hearing dramatic speech of his dear friend. However he is not amused.
“Jonah!”
“I am all awake now, happy? Away from the realm of dreams. Speaking of dreams, you had any?”
Jonah finally turns to face Barnabas again. His chestnut hair is messy which is concerning because it means his own are in even worse state – curse those damn ginger curls! There is also cute blush in his cheeks and so he becomes genuinely curious about the answer.
“Oh I did actually. I dreamt about us. We were attending a ball. And I invited you for a dance. Everyone was looking at us. And they were all admiring us for we were the most beautiful couple. Then you kissed me and everyone was only jealous of us. No judgment no disgust. And we danced more. I know you will probably find it silly but it was really nice…”
Jonah smiles. Oh dear Barnabas even his dreams are as sweet as him. Almost too sweet. “On the contrary I find it lovely.”
“What were you dreaming about?”
The memory comes back to him. The world which is always looking and seeing. The promised unlimited knowledge and the flow on information. It all belongs to him and him only as the immortal ruler chosen by the Eye as mean to behold the sigh of the world he created.
“I cannot remember it properly but it was very similar to your dream I believe.”
Barnabas smiles at him and by the look in his eyes it is clear that only thing occupying his mind is Jonah.
Jonah smiles back and by the look in his eyes it is clear that Barnabas has no place in his thoughts right now. There are much more important things. The world he will create and build to fit his vision. One day! He will be the Watcher and he will get his Crown!

Day 4 - Bones
Jonah Magnus has traveled to visit his friend in Bavaria. Unfortunately he ans Albrecht have a bit different idea about how they should spent their time togerther.
…
To say that Jonah Magnus is not very fond of traveling would be an understatement. Even occasional rides between his Institute in Edinburgh and London are highly annoying and serve only as a confirmation that moving the Institute to more convenient place is a necessity.
However it can still be called a relaxation in comparison of making a trip abroad. Unfortunately Britain happens to be an island and so only way to travel outside of it is on the sea. Jonah hates the sea – not only the constant swinging of the ship on tides keeps making him sick. The knowledge that the hull of the ship is the only thing standing between him and the deep mass of salt water is also not helping him to feel comfortable. How could some people choose boat as their preferred means of transport and not only as last option is a mystery to him.
Although to be honest Jonah never understood the appeal of traveling in general. He won’t be persuaded no matter how much Barnabas is always urging him to join him on his vacation to explore the world. Ah, was urging him actually… it is still easy to forget sometimes…
His lack of excitement isn’t given because he wouldn’t be curious. Of course that he wants to know everything there is about the world. Nevertheless knowledge and experience are two separate things. For example Jonah would be perfectly happy left with only knowledge of the fact that the forests in Bavaria are full of fallen branches, threes, stumps and very unfit for his usual footwear. Unfortunately he gained this certain piece of knowledge the harder way.
“What’s the matter Jonah? Should I slow down? Are you tired already?” Even though Albrecht was several years older he seemed to have no problem moving on through the forest and easily avoiding all the obstacles from broken branches to hidden puddles. He and Albrecht got very different idea what afternoon walk is supposed to be.
“I told you I am not a fan of wandering in nature, Albrecht.”
“You are not? I always suspected you would be. You must have beautiful nature in Scotland. At least according to the poems.”
“Whose poems have you read?” Jonah asks even though for once he doesn’t even need a help from the Beholding to guess the answer. It must have been either Wordsworth or Coleridge. He vaguely remembers picking them up when he was bored once. It is important to note he almost immediately put them back down.
“I am not sure… But he was describing one’s connection with nature and all its beauties.” That wouldn’t be much telling even if Jonah read more than few lines.
“Well you can show me the book when we return if you have it somewhere in your library,” he suggests hopefully finally getting the opportunity to bring up the true reason behind his visit. Unfortunately Albrecht von Closen has decided instead of boasting with the library to show him the local culture and drag him all around the town, then the neighboring town and now nature. So far Jonah barely seen anything he would dare to call culture but that’s nothing he would express out loud.
Lost in the thoughts and trying to do his best not to complain Jonah barely notices when the branches under his feet stop crunching. They are also smoother as he notices when he loses his balance and falls on the ground.
The recognizable snap of breaking bone cuts the air.
And a bone is indeed broken but luckily it’s not a one belonging to Jonah. Relieved he finally decides to pay a bit of an attention to his surroundings. What at first look might remind yet another dry branch is actually part of the whole skeleton. It used to be a deer… No. It was a roebuck. The knowledge of an animal comes to his mind – of course this is the kind of information Eye decides to provide. Unlike a warning to look better where he steps.
He should probably get back on his feet and try to catch up with Albrecht but he is tired. And also weirdly fascinated by the remains of what once was majestic animal wandering through the same path Jonah walked. He wonders about its fate. Was the animal killed by a predator? Was it ill? Or did it simply die of an old age? It doesn’t matter. The roebuck is dead. It has been for quite a while. And it is perfectly natural because death is part of the life and Jonah hates it.
Yes death is everywhere and one can meet their end so easily. One moment you can hold all the power and all the knowledge of the world, and the other there is nothing and your mind, your thoughts, that all disappears. How comes that most of the people are not dreading how their whole existence will be one day completely erased? How they do it? Just living their life blissfully ignorant? How are they doing nothing about it? Jonah cannot remember a time when he was not noticing anymore.
He would love to blame the Beholding for bringing him so often information of so many ways he could die at any moment. But the truth is he has been haunted by ever-present death much longer before encountering the fears and choosing one to serve.
What else is a man than bones and flesh all put together? Same as the long dead animal in front of him. So imperfect and breakable. One can so easily end up as a pile of bones…
As a pile of bones in ones office. As a pile of bones that used to be a friend and a lover. As a pile of bones which were price for the knowledge. As a pile of bones-…
“Jonah! Oh here you are,” Albrecht’s voice brings him back to reality. “Did you fell? Are you alright?”
“Apologies as I said I am not used to walks like this very much.” Jonah quickly gets up to stand in Albrecht’s view of the remains. He cannot fully explain why. He just doesn’t feel like sharing them with his friend. What else could he offer than some comment about ‘that’s what nature is’ as if they weren’t part of it. As if the threat of sudden death is not as real for them as it was for the roebuck. He just could not understand what really those bones represent.
“Oh no, it’s my mistake I should have noticed sooner you are having trouble to keep up. It will perhaps be better if we turned back… I really believed you will enjoy a little walk on the fresh air as much as I do.”
“No reason to be concerned. I am happy to finally see the land you wrote me so much about. Though as I said, I believe I will appreciate the beauty of it much more from the inside of your manor.”
They leave back in the direction of Albrecht’s mansion leaving the pile of bones behind. Everyone will turn into just a pile of bones one day and Jonah finds a vision of such future simply unacceptable. And he doesn’t care what will be the price for it.
“We indeed do have some nice view from there. Especially from the grand window in the library… Oh which reminds me I have books I wanted to show you. I believe I was writing you story about how I obtained them.”
“Yes that sounds familiar… I would be the most delighted to finally see them then.”
“You will just have to be really careful since they are not in the best state…”
Jonah smiles. “Don’t worry I am quite used to handling antique books and taking care of them. If you were interested I could recommend you excellent binders in case you wanted to have them rebound…”
I don’t actually think Jonah was trying to keep Barnabas in dark about the Fears or that he was only vague in his warnings to “not to cross Mordechai”.
Barnabas just automatically stops listening whenever Jonah starts rambling about anything that sounds too much like some smart science stuff.
Jonah was explaining the Fears and Mordechai’s powers to Barnabas several times. Yet he still couldn’t remember more that the “Mordechai is dangerous or something” part.

Day 3 - Pressure
Jonathan Fanshawe has been having a problem sleeping lately. Name of that problem is Jonah Magnus.
…
Jonathan Fanshawe is awakened by the sound of insistent knocking. Few years back he might have been concerned by such urgent peruse of his attention in the middle of the night. Is someone dying? Has anyone been deadly injured? Or struck by a sudden illness?
Nowadays emotions that sudden late visitors strike in him could no longer be described as worry. It is mostly just an annoyance.
He yawns and sits up. His hand reaches to his night table for a candle and matches to light it up with. Then he considers if he should change from his night clothes since he doubts he will be able to fall back asleep after this interruption. Another set of urgent knocking makes him finally grab the candlestick and head towards his entrance door.
“What took you so long, Jonathan? I could be dying!”
“Good morning to you too, Jonah.” Jonathan haven’t check the clock but the color of the sky is seeming to be more shade of the dark blue than the blackness of a night. Rubbing his eyes he lets his friend in. It would be only waste of time trying to reason with him to come at another time when the sun has fully risen – he tried that in the past.
“I apologize but you know that I would never interrupt you if it wasn’t important. But this time it might really be matter of life or death!” Fanshawe in fact does not know that. Probably because what he finds important and what Jonah finds important are two very different things.
“Hm…”
“Are you even listening to me Jonathan?”
“Yes… please feel free to elaborate. What are the symptoms of your illness?” He resists adding this time for it would only lead to melodramatic cries about not being taken seriously enough. For how knowledgeable his friend usually is he has never met anyone more paranoid about being struck by a sudden illness. Not even any of his elder clients living past their expected age are so worried by the littlest sign something might be out of order.
“I’ve come here as soon as I noticed it,” Jonah starts quite pointlessly since Jonathan was not about to assume that symptoms appeared yesterday’s afternoon and Jonah simply chose to visit him in the most inconvenient hour. “I’ve just finished work in my study and started to undress to go to sleep. But as I was untying the bandages-…”
“Wait. Pardon me but have you said you were just about to go to sleep? It is… well, I am not certain what time it is exactly but the sun is about to rise. Jonah I thought we talked about your sleeping regime quite thoroughly last time.” Only real health issue that Jonah presented to him in past few months was his tendency to unexpectedly faint sometimes. At first Fanshawe was naturally very concerned for it might be just first sign of something more serious. However upon further interrogation of Jonah and one conversation with Mr. Bennett which provided him further context Jonathan was successfully able to pinpoint lack of sleep as the culprit of described problems. Jonah seemed not very happy with his verdict. Nor he has seemed to take his advice to heart.
“I am trying to improve my schedule it is special case this time. I could not simply leave in the middle of work what if I forgot till the morning what I was about to write? Anyway that is not important right now Jonathan!”
It is way too early to try arguing with him. “Apologies. Please continue.”
“Yes, so just as I was changing my clothes to sleep I have noticed the pain in my chest. Well not pain exactly more of a pressure? As if I was lying on my back and someone has trapped me under a heavy rock. It appeared out of nowhere I might have had it for a bit longer but you know how hard it is notice needs of the flesh sometimes when one is occupied by work.”
Jonathan is doing his best to keep his eyes open. “So, sudden pressure in the chest and… is it all?”
“It makes breathing harder. And also actually when I move in certain direction there sometimes appear a little stab of pain too… Before you ask it cannot be broken rib I haven’t been doing anything that could lead to me hurting myself in such a way and I also already examined my ribcage myself. Oh, something like stabbing pain was a symptom of heart failure isn’t it? Do you think it might that? Jonathan you must help me!” The panic on Jonah’s face is rising as he decides to self-diagnose himself first and ask questions later as per usual. He takes back all those wishes for his patients to be more aware and educated about their bodies. His dear friend knows way too much for his own good.
“No. Calm down Jonah. I think I might know what the problem it. But first you are still regularly binding your chest because of… your condition?”
“Naturally since as I said before it makes my condition a bit more comfortable. Now how exactly is this relevant?”
“I was just wondering.” His dear friend Jonah Magnus happened to be born with a wrong body which is something he never heard about before. Though he can imagine whoever was unfortunate to be born this way would very unlikely be able to get someone to believe them.
After all even he had a bit of hard time to overcome the conflict between the clear biological evidence and Jonah’s manners and intelligence which has undeniably been pointing towards him being a gentleman. But after enough consideration he must have admitted that it probably is not even the biggest curiosity he encountered during his career. As morbid as that may sounds if Jonah died sooner than him he would love to do an autopsy to study more of his condition and whether there really is no biological prove of conflict between one’s body and one’s psyché…
Ah but this line of thought is a bit off topic. He probably tortured his friend enough with uncertainty.
“Well? Can you finally tell me what illness I have? Can you cure it? Do you not wish to examine me closer?”
“No need for that. You would have much less problems if you followed my advice for once Jonah. I’ve been telling to you for a while you should not be tying the bandages around your chest so tight. And also there is no reason why you should wear them at your home. They are most likely cause of the discomfort as they are pushing on your ribs.”
“But… You don’t understand I need to… uh, are you completely certain it might not have any different cause? Or maybe…-” Jonah whines and Jonathan would probably feel much more pity for how uncomfortable his friend must feel if he didn’t wake him up. He might have been awake but all his compassion is still asleep.
“Do as you wish Jonah. But if you want to get rid of the feeling of pressure in your chest this is the only cure I can recommend to you. Stop binding yourself so often and so tightly.” Fanshawe stands up to make it clear that this is end of the discussion. “Now if it is all… It would be pleasure for me to continue in our conversation in later hours.”
I have probably very silly question.
Before he gained enough power to cherry pick whatever information he wants directly from other people’s mind he probably had to use compulsion on people when he wanted to get a story about their supernatural encounter. Which means he was probably haunting afterwards the people in their dreams.
Anyway to my question did he stopped appearing in people’s nightmares when he switched a body or not?

Day 2 - Community
Jonah Magnus is very interested in joining a community formed around Robert Smirke. He isn’t accepting any new members but that’s just a minor inconvenience Jonah can work with.
…
“Barnabas are you certain it is alright for me just come like that? Without a proper invitation? Have you discussed with at least someone that it won’t be an issue?”
“You worry yourself way too much, Jonah. It is fine, trust me. How many times do I need to say it?”
Jonah sighs as his dear friend pushes his concerns aside yet again. But how could he not be a bit worried? He has been in a London for just a few months and even though he feels like he learnt in that time more about manners and society than in his whole life before he is still somewhat uncertain by his own place within said society. Unlike Barnabas, he doesn’t have years of practice to act so nonchalantly, demanding things as if he was somehow entitled to them.
Things like becoming member of one more or less secret gentlemen gathering. As unofficial the community around promising young architect Robert Smirke tries to be there is many rumors everywhere trying to determine what is the purpose of it and what are they discussing there?
Fortunately for Jonah his dearest friend was a member of it. Unfortunately said friend could not be less interested in anything happening during any of their meetings. Whenever Jonah asks him about what they were talking about Barnabas only shrugs because he never pays attention. He is member just because it seemed to be appropriate for man of his position and possession. That is also most likely why he was even invited to participate in the first place because – with all respects for his friend – it certainly could not be because of his wits. And if he was not losing so much money gambling there with other members he would be probably already kicked out.
“It will be delightful having you there, Jonah. You wouldn’t believe how boring the talks of most of the members are,” Barnabas says and Jonah only politely smiles. He cannot wait to engage in exactly those discussions that his friend describes as boring.
His dear friend Barnabas Bennett is – well – quite interesting person. He usually manages to be quite entertaining company for he seems to know everyone’s secrets and loves nothing more than sharing them with him. Also he is very fond of Jonah and very kindly offered him to stay at his place for unspecified amount of time. Unfortunately he can also be incredibly ignorant sometimes. There is only so much time Jonah can stand talking about art, poetry and music – which are the only subjects of any substance Barnabas has any knowledge about.
They arrive to a reasonably large house. Reasonably for this part of city; anywhere else it would be considered quite big. Jonah’s nervousness grows every second and he adjusts his collar even though there is not anything wrong with it. He would love to ask Barnabas for a hundredth time how exactly he looks but he is already raising his hand to a knocker. Upon knocking young gentleman opens with a frown on his face.
“Mr. Bennett, you are late. As always.”
“What can I say I am a busy man,” Barnabas waves his hand even though only thing he has been busy with today was interrupting Jonah’s reading by complaining about how this morning his eggs were a bit overcooked and by trying to get him to help planning his next travel abroad.
“And this is?” the man glances towards Jonah who has a bit of a hard time to hold smile on his face. He glances to Barnabas who for once remembers there is some etiquette to be followed.
“Mr. Smirke let me introduce you to my dear friend, Jonah Magnus. I brought him here today with me for he has expressed an interest to join our little gatherings.”
“Pleasure to meet you.” Jonah offers his hand. Smirke hesitates before shaking it for the shortest amount of time which politeness requires.
“I would like to say likewise but I am sorry for I am about to disappoint you,” Despite his words there is no sign of regret in his words; only annoyance which is at least much more than on Jonah aimed at Barnabas towards whom Smirke turns. “As you should know Mr. Bennett we are currently neither looking for nor even considering accepting any new members.”
Jonah should have immediately known that as always by: ‘it is fine Jonah no need to worry,’ Barnabas meant: ‘I have no idea that if it is really all right but I intent to argue until it is.’
“I don’t see what the problem is Mr. Smirke, it is just a one person.”
“The problem Mr. Bennett, and if you bothered to pay attention for once you would know, is that matter we are discussing is too delicate and sensitive to just present them to anyone. Not to mention that their nature is also quite complex and complicated. Last thing we need is to trying explain it all to someone new and risk one more tongue to getting lose.” Jonah hangs desperately on every word painfully aware how close yet so far he is. There is million questions in his head and he would love nothing more than to start asking. However there is no point; it’s not as if he had the power to force people to answer him.
“But I can guarantee that there won’t be any issues with that. I give you my word that Jonah is one of the best educated and intelligent gentlemen I know. You do not need to worry about his ability to comprehend nor doubt his ability to be discreet.”
“Yes, well, apologies Mr. Bennett but I would have to hold some value to your word first so I could take it as an assurance for anything.”
“I do not like what you are suggesting. Also as I said before-…” Jonah puts a hand on his friend shoulder. Last thing he needs is for that fool to start a proposing duels or something similarly unreasonable. Besides he has learnt to have certain amount of distrust in his friend’s promises and so he has been doing a bit of research and preparation in case something like this happened.
“It is alright Barnabas[m1] I would hate to intrude. Please trust that was never my intention and I will leave immediately since my presence is not welcomed,” he turns towards Smirke who seems to be grateful enough just for holding Barnabas back. He has at least a polite smile on his face now. It is a good start. “Though I must admit it is really shame for I have wished to make an acquaintance with you for some time as I admire your work greatly Mr. Smirke.”
“You do?” there is mixture of curiosity and distrust in architect’s voice. Probably because Barnabas asks with surprise the same question. Jonah puts on his best excited expression.
“Of course! I have seen your work in Brightling Park, great use of classical style indeed. But of course the most impressive design of yours is at least in my humble opinion the Covent Garden Opera House. It is so unique I do not think I have seen any other Greek Doric building in London. I would love to learn more about your work! I have heard you have been commissioned to do a design for Castle for Earl Somers. Is it true or just rumors? Have you started planning yet?”
“Yes I indeed am about to start working on Eastnor Castle. You really seem to know a lot about my career.”
“Yes as I said I am a fan of your work but… oh apologies I’ve probably gotten way too excited. You are surely busy man Mr. Smirke and you have better things to do than discuss all your great accomplishments with me. Plus you have your club meeting right now. I would hate to be keeping you.”
“But Jonah…” Barnabas whines and Jonah smiles at him apologetically though he pays him almost no attention. By corner of his eye he catches glimpse of Smirke carefully measuring him with a thoughtful expression. There is hesitation. But there is also a great deal of interest.
“I will see you later Barnabas.” Jonah turns around but he does not make more than one step before he is stopped.
“Wait… Mr. Magnus, right? Perhaps I might have been a bit too abrupt with the rejection. I am trying to keep the number low but I think that our… let us say community of gentlemen could use more men like you. I cannot promise you anything but I think there is no harm letting you participate at least this once.”
“I am very honored. It would be my utmost pleasure”
Robert Smirke opens him the door and leads Jonah in walking by his side leaving Barnabas one step behind. Jonah has hard time to keep only moderately enough excited face because he cannot believe that few well prepared compliments and charming smile is really all he needed to turn the situation in his favor.
“Also… I suppose you can keep a secret? As I said certain things we discuss might be quite delicate.”
“Of course, any secret is safe with me.”

Day 1 - Letters
It has been years since Jonathan Fanshawe cut all the contact with Jonah Magnus.
…
Jonathan Fanshawe has never given much thought to his future. There hasn’t been any reason to dwell on it too much; anything can happen any time, there is no point to plan anything; no one can predict what will come. Besides he usually has had much more important things to focus on! There have been so many things he wanted to figure out and discover. There has been his hubris telling him he will be able to. Of course he hasn’t had time to concern himself with his future.
That being said though he never imagined he would end up as a local doctor in small village in the middle of Switzerland. But well… anything did happen indeed.
It has been years since he cut any contact with Jonah Magnus. It has also been years since he left England and if he said he is not missing London he would be lying. But it isn’t that bad. His life now is much more… peaceful. Also more frugal. But that is fine. He can be actually helping people instead of chasing his own ambition. He can do some good for a change.
“Good evening, doctor!” as soon as he enters through the doors his housekeeper Frieda welcomes him. She is a widow and even though she’s somewhere in her sixties she is always full of energy no matter if she is cleaning the house or informing him about newest gossips in all the nearby villages.
“Evening, Frieda.” He gives her a tired smile and hangs his coat on a hanger expecting flow of questions. She could never stay quiet for too long; no matter what is the topic she has something to say. In the past these kinds of people used to annoy Jonathan but now no matter how exhausting it can be he prefers it over the alternative of being trapped in silence only with his own thoughts.
“How was your day? The autumn is almost here. There is always much more sick people when the summer ends. We are lucky to have you. You were visiting that Butcher’s kid today right? How is he doing?”
“Hm? Yes, yes… The fever is almost gone. Few more days and Wilhelm will be back on his feet.”
Fanshawe has been living here for almost three years now. He had to deal at first with lots of hostile looks but they quickly changed to more accepting ones as soon as people learnt he is a doctor. Then they changed to fully welcoming when they realized he is a real and actually good doctor who can do more than just offer to people some herb tea. And so no one bothered to ask him too many questions what exactly made him leave all the comforts of London and move in remote village in foreign country.
“You look tired. Go get some rest I will start making dinner. I’ve prepared the fireplace for you it was quite chilly in your room. The autumn really is here isn’t it? As I said more people will start getting sick soon. It is always like that when autumn arrives…”
“Call me when it’s ready.” He might maybe spend the evening by reading next to lit fire place. Maybe he will even pour himself a glass of… well he isn’t sure what kind of alcohol it was exactly, he got it as a gift from one of his patient as a thank you. But it doesn’t taste the worst and he could not exactly be picky here.
“Oh also I would almost forget, a letter for you arrived today. Isn’t it strange, doctor? I don’t remember that you would ever get any.” It is indeed… unusual. There is a seed of worry starting to grow inside him. He doesn’t receive letters very often. He is doctor after all so when someone needs him it is usually way too urgent to wait for post to deliver message since they usually come by only once every two weeks. Still it doesn’t have to mean… “Do you have any idea who might write you? It looks rather fancy it is even in an envelope!”
Jonathan feels a horrible feeling of dread washing over him. “Yes… I mean no. I have no idea. Where is the letter, Frieda?”
“I left it on your table-…”
“Thank you. That is all I… Good night,”
“There will still be a dinner, doctor!” Fanshawe barely registers her words. He rushes into his room. Since Frieda keeps whole house very neat it takes him only few second it find a single letter lying on his writing table. He doesn’t know how long he only stares at it before he finally dares to pick it up.
The space for sender’s address is empty but Jonathan doesn’t need it to know who exactly has sent it to him. Even without the extravagant envelope; even without the seal with the owl imaginary; even if he couldn’t recognize the handwriting he still knows painfully well; there is only one person who could.
It has been years since he cut any contact with Jonah Magnus.
Unfortunately Jonah Magnus still hasn’t decided to cut a contact with him.
When he return from his… “trip” to Germany he was welcomed at his house in London by series of letters from Jonah questioning his decision. And they haven’t stopped coming. After a consideration Jonathan decided to move away, afraid Jonah might eventually try to reach out to him personally. ‘It is just because he doesn’t want to have anything to do with him,’ he was telling himself at first. ‘He has no reason to be afraid. What could Jonah do to him after all?’
The answer on his question was waiting at him every night in his nightmares which were full of eyes. Sometimes they are just floating in nothingness. Sometimes they are staring at him from Albrecht’s dead body. And sometimes he sees himself and he is the one covered in eyes.
After thinking about some of their past conversations and after looking at some of their past correspondence he started to notice lots of double meanings he chose to overlook at the time but which he can ignore no longer. Also what was the name of Jonah’s ‘dear friend’ who so mysteriously disappeared few years ago? Barnabas? There is no doubt something is very wrong with Jonah Magnus. And one should rather get out of his way before they find themselves standing in the middle of it.
He thought simply moving to a different city will solve his issue. He found out he has thought wrong since just as he is settled another letter from Jonah Magnus arrives. Jonathan was more annoyed than worried. At this point he assumed Jonah obtained the address through some acquaintances; he seemed to have some everywhere. And so Fanshawe thought that maybe staying abroad for year or two might solve his problem. He returned to Kingdom of Württemberg but then he very quickly moved to Baden. Then to Nassau, several parts of Saxony, Luxembourg, Hanover and many others German countries.
But the letters never stopped coming. Sometimes he received letters only weeks apart. Sometimes it took months. Now it has been the longest time since the last one. He really hoped that he managed to disappear from his sight. Or that at least Jonah got finally tired and decided to stop bothering him.
As many times before he is wrong. The letter in his hand is proof of that.
He should just throw it out. Destroy it. But he needs to know – it would later bother him too much – he needs to see for himself if there will be some threats. Requests. Curses.
He opens the letter.
My dear Jonathan,
It has been a while since my last letter and I would like to apologize that I haven’t find a time to write to you any sooner but I have been very busy with my Institute lately. I have finally found a perfect place where could I relocate my institute I think that I mentioned my intentions to do so in the past somewhere in our correspondence. I must admit that I might have helped it a bit by…
Jonathan tears the paper in half.
There are no mean spirited words no laughs at him for thinking he might be safe. No. There is just politeness the words written as if they were intended for an old friend. Just mundane information about his everyday life Jonathan couldn’t be less interested in. He doesn’t want to know any of this. He doesn’t care. He doesn’t want to have anything to do with Jonah Magnus and his damned institute.
He tears the letter again. And again. And then once more. Only as he is throwing the scraps of paper in the fireplace he notices how much are his hands shaking. His heart is beating fast and the feeling of dread is swallowing him whole. Defeated, he sits down on a chair by the fire.
He feels so silly now. How could he think he can ever escape him? How could he think he is able to get rid of him?
The content of the letters really isn’t the point. It doesn’t matter whether Jonathan reads them or not because they already fulfill their purpose by just successfully reaching their destination. All Jonah wants is to remind Fanshawe from time to time that no matter where he moved no matter where he tried to hide he still knows his exact position. He isn’t about to hurt him. But he wants Jonathan to know that he could if he wanted. He is still at his mercy.
Jonathan should be probably angry. Enraged. But he cannot. He can no longer even bring himself to feel spite for what happened to Albrecht and for what probably happened to so many other people surrounding Jonah Magnus; for all the evil Jonathan unknowingly helped him to spread. He is only exhausted. He only wishes for it to finally end…
But it never will, will it? He should finally accept that there will always be a next letter. But living the rest of his life in state of constant paranoia seemed like fair prize to pay for his sins.
Jonahbas but Barnabas is actually quite toxic person and possessive over Jonah.
Curse whoever came up with the bastard Barnabas idea. Now I’m having too many thoughts about it.
Why do some tma ship names contain whole names of the characters? Aren’t ship names usually just mush of two names? So I propose a change!
JonMartin -> Jortin
JonTim -> Jom? Jim?
JonGerry -> Jorry
TimSasha -> Tisha

To lower number of divorces - and the amount of paperwork it creates - Peter and Elias have a rule that they won’t get a divorce for the same reason twice. They have disagreements about almost everything so it would be tiring and pointless arguing about the same things again and again.
However it can be sometimes hard to remember whether they’ve gotten divorced for this exact disagreement yet or not and so Elias always creates detailed files to keep track.
There is quite lots of them and not even Elias can always fully recall the system he used for sorting them so sometimes they just decide to stay together because it’s too much work to trying to check if they’ve already split up because of something.
Even when they’re willing to put the effort into it they very often they forget about what they’ve been fighting about as they get caught up in nostalgic memories of their divorces.
Peter: I think Elias is angry with me.
Simon: Why do you think so?
Peter: I asked Elias for glass of water and he brought-…
Simon: Oh did he bring you glass of ice?
Peter: No the glass he brought me was empty. And when I asked him where the water was he said that it had been there it just evaporated in those month I was gone…
Headcannon that when Elias is very tired (because he forgot to sleep few days) he gets unreasonably paranoid and antagonistic.
Elias: Peter why is there a fog in my coffee?! Are you trying to poison me with the Lonely?
Peter: It’s… just a steam? Because the coffee is hot? What do you mean by… How would that even work??
Got any spare trans Jonah headcannons?
H-eye my dear anon! I’ve already shared few trans Jonah headcannons here.
But I have so many more trans Jonah thoughts. Actually you’ve unlocked the privilege of beholding my Jonah’s childhood and gender discovering headcannon!*
For the context I imagine Jonah is from some upper class family having a name, yes, but overall his family was quite poor since they were only getting money from properties they owned. Aristocracy owning companies or doing trade was frown upon by society so such a situation was not uncommon.
Jonah’s mother had trouble bearing children and only successful pregnancy was the one where she gave birth to Jonah and his twin brother. They did not get along very well because for the same interests and the same actions only one of them was punished for inappropriate behavior while other praised for curiosity.
Jonah wished many times to be able switch places with his brother though he was blaming jealousy of all the privileges a freedom his brother had and didn’t look into his feelings with much introspection. Why to think about unhappy reality and terrifying future of marriage when there was world of knowledge he could escape into.
And so he rather turned his curiosity from wandering around towards books. His mother didn’t always approve the chosen literature. She had lots of opinions of what should be Jonah’s interests. So Jonah had to sneak at night to borrow certain books which he was hiding in the covers of romance novels.
Jonah’s first encounter with death was when his father fell from a horse and died of haemorrhage. That was unfortunate but not such a big issue for the family since there was a male heir to inherit the estates. Till one winter when both Jonah and his brother fell terribly ill. After several feverish nights Jonah started to be getting better but his brother died.
We are in Georgian era here where woman cannot own property. Jonah’s mother did not have a best relationship with distant family of her husband and so she appeared to be in truly unfortunate situation but one solution was offering itself there. One of her children is dead. One of the still quite similarly looking twins…
And when Jonah sees himself for a first time with his freshly cut hair in the clothes of his dead brother and everything finally feels right. He feels right. How comes he never realized how handsome he can look why was he avoiding the mirrors so much before? New clothes, new role, new privileges and so much new to learn but he feels happy. For a while…
*Apologies I still have to do some research into how was the situation handled when the head of the family died and the son to inherit the fortune and estates was not old enough yet.
This might be a bit cursed idea but hear me out!
Peter getting very cheesy tattoo of Elias as a mermaid. He would get it done in some far away port so there’s no chance for Elias to barging in trying to stop this.
For reference he would probably show to tattoo artist a very revealing photo of Elias that he’s been given for personal use which would make the whole affair nicely uncomfortable.
Peter would also make sure it’s at some time Elias doesn’t have any important work to do and therefore he might be watching him. Peter would even for once engage in eye contact with some eye imaginary and possibly wink at it.
Elias would be probably quite angry and he would be filling Peter’s voicemail with angry messages during the whole tattooing process.
Of course when Peter returns and he’s welcomed with divorce papers he acts absolutely shocked and pretends he has no idea why is his tattoo not viewed as gesture of love.
Oh cursed bonus idea. He would actually not get a tattoo of Elias as mermaid but a tattoo of James. Then he would act all suprised: “Oh, sorry Jonah I forgot you’ve changed bodies… Should I get another tattoo then?”
Anyway this horrible thought was contributed by @trustworthy-liar
I think that all of Jonah’s simps penpals could and did at some occasion pick up and carry Jonah. Not because they were all particularly strong Jonah was just that tiny and light.
Just a peaceful moment when your boyfriend reads you overrated poetry.

I think I promised a while to post some more jonmartin cosplay pics so here you go!
I as Jarchivist, @trustworthy-liar as Martin.
What if Peter was attracted to James Wright but Jonah as James Wright didn’t find Peter very attractive because preferences of the body are impacting his own.
However Peter is exactly Elias’ type as Jonah quickly learns upon taking his new body. Unfortunately Peter on the other hand doesn’t find Elias attractive at all.
Overall though it has almost no impact on nature of their relationship.
(It probably irritates Jonah but Peter is very much content with both having a partner who doesn’t find him attractive and then having a partner who he doesn’t find attractive. It sounds quite lonely to Peter.)
Elias: Would you miss me if I died?
Peter: No. I barely even think about you now. I don’t see a reason why should your death change that.
I like to imagine Peter Lukas has usually his hair tied in little ponytail because it’s easier to do than asking someone to cut them.
Headcannon that out of boredom some avatars created very complex betting system on Peter and Elias and their marital status.
There are several categories like who will propose this time, who will ask for divorce this time, how long will the marriage last, how long will the divorce last etc…
Peter has no idea something like that is happening but Elias is aware and sometimes asks for divorce or proposes just to make someone he doesn’t like lose.
Jongerry AU where Gerry doesn’t die and continues monster hunting without Gertrude and he also starts dating with Jon. Gerry doesn’t tell him anything about what he’s doing or even that monsters are real to protect him.
Jon in the mean time becomes new Archivist and finds out what it means. He also wants to protect his boyfriend so he decides to keep all the life threatening aspects of his work secret.
It’s a romcom where they are both dealing with supernatural but also desperately trying to keep the other out of it while trying to figure out if the other one is hiding something.
Most of the excuses behind newly obtained wounds are ridiculous.
“Huh those burn scars looks pretty serious. How’s did you get them again?”
“Yeah… Uh… I saved kitten from burning building. It wasn’t big deal… Now how did you stab yourself with a bred knife again? In the archives from all places?”
“See? I also wasn’t expecting bred knife to be there…”
Gerry has actually naturally black hair and he’s dying the roots blond so his hair intentionally looks badly dyed.
Elias writes very specific and absolutely not legal marriage license and because it sounds eloquent enough and and looks official enough Peter trusts him that this is how marriage license works. The alternative is looking it up or asking someone and that sounds horrible.
I’ve been wondering about Jonah’s Beholding powers and, well, avatars and their powers which were given to them by the Entity they server overall. Do their powers keep evolving or do they stop at some point and they’re mostly stagnating after that? How much must one try for them to grow? Are they gaining them perpetually in some kind of logarithmic growth?
Anyway to what line made me thinking:

Was he speaking here figuratively or was he vagueing the world he will rule after successful ritual or would his powers level up after few more decades…?
After writing only word “my” my phone is automatically trying to finish the phrase with “dear Jonah”…
The idea that since Peter and Elias are serving different entities they have kind of no feelings attached relationship when they are outside of their apartment or whatever they agree upon as the neutral ground.
You know little murder attempt here or ritual sabotage thete is fine that’s just business no need to mix it with personal relationship.
“No, Peter, this divorce isn’t about that murder attempt even though I don’t think you really even tried but that’s not the point right now. However you used my favorite mug again and haven’t even washed it afterwards; this is unacceptable!”
What do you mean you don’t want anyone to pull out your eyes and steal your body? Are you transphobic or something…?
I think Martin is actually morning person he enjoys how peaceful and calm everything is right before the dawn and before the morning rush starts…
During the Scottish safe house period he once went to watch the sunrise and found Jon already up looking at the horizon. They silently watched the first light appearing next to each other.
Then Martin asks Jon how come he’s up already worried that he’s awake because of nightmares and Jon answers to horrified Martin: “Oh I just haven’t went to sleep yet.”
I relate to Peter Lukas so much. I too hate any form of social interaction unless I have upper hand over them and can drive them insane with very bad jokes.
*Elias at some point*
Elias: We need to get divorce, Peter! Then we’ll get married again and then we will get another divorce. I’m too angry, this situation demands at least two divorces!!
I like the idea of Elias initiating every marriage and divorce while Peter is being always disinterested and okay with whatever Elias decides.
“We’re getting married? I mean sounds about right.”
“Oh we’re getting divorce now sure anything you say.”
“Another marriage. If you say so what can I do.”
Peter sees his relantionship with Elias as something happening to him and he refuses to have anything to say in it because it sounds nicely lonely not being involved at all in his own personal life.
Plus it also drives Elias absolutely mad as no matter what he proposes Peter always just shrugs and goes along with it…
