There has always been great amount of ghost stories going around the Magnus Institute but recently their amount has risen.
People claims feeling someone’s presence… like they almost saw someone but the figure was a bit blurry. It also gets randomly very cold in the room and people get feelings of sudden sadness even though they were feeling just alright that day. Things sometimes randomly move or fall down. And some people claim they lunch or coffee just disappeared even though they were alone in the room…
It happens to everyone even to the biggest sceptics who were claiming others are just imagining things become victims of it.
At first Elias gets worried that some artifact is doing mess in his Institute. However very soon he realised it’s all just his useless husband who can never find his office.
When Elias is stressed out - usually due to whatever Gertrude is doing - Peter starts asking him random questions about random things. Even though Elias gets a bit annoyed at first misusing beholding powers just to info dump always calms him down.
Peter would of course denied he was doing such a thing. Elias would of course deny such a simple trick could actually help him to calm down.
Peter is very much against Tadeas’ relantionship with Rosie but not so much because it makes him less lonely or something like that.
It’s because Tadeas likes to send Rosie postcard from every port Tundra stops at. And Rosie likes to put all the postcards as decoration somewhere on her desk. And Elias likes to notice such things of course.
And so now Peter have to listen Elias complain over the fact that Peter never sends him any postcards, nor letters, nor souvenirs and how come he has not told him he will travel to China he could have picked there a thing for him-
Elias: You remind me of ocean.
Peter: Because I’m deep and mysterious?
Elias: No. I don’t like ocean.
Most of the Institute thinks Elias’ husband Peter does not exists. Elias occasionally mentions him but no one ever actually saw him. People generally think that Elias felt for some reason awkward that he’s single and lied about having a fiancé but then it got ridiculously out of his hands.
Whenever there is some big event “Peter” either happens to be away at the sea because of course he’s sea captain or he and Elias happen to be divorced. However soon after that they conveniently get married again.
He is also not able to show picture of said “Peter” because apparently he hates taking photos and so Elias has no photos of him.
Elias find those rumours at first just silly mildly annoying but at this point the looks people exchange really bother him. Peter on the other hand finds it very amusing and now he has even less motivation to show up at the Institute.
