It’s tma anniversary so let me once again repeat that the biggest problem of Magnus Archives - horror mystery podcast - is that it does not end with mystery.
It should have been cut of before Jon asks Martin to kill him. He should have declared just something like: “Alright, I think I know what I must do…”
The question whether he lets Martin die their proceeding with his original plan or whether he is willing to potentially doom another world for Martin to survive should be left ambigous.
The show should have ended with Jon making the final decision.
And part of the tragedy would we would never learn what his decision was.
Are you sometimes thinking about how Jonah Magnus never truly suffer in the end? How everything went by his plan, he brought Ceaseless Watcher’s gaze to this world and he get to watch it in agonising bliss and that’s it.
And yes in the end he died. And yes he was afraid of death but who isn’t? He did not suffer for long he did not even know his hard work is about to be undone it was quick and peaceful death especially for someone with so many sins.
I’ll celebrate one year tma anniversary by doing what I’ve been doing the entirity of the time since finale.
Ignore existence of all the protagonists and giving more happy AU to my favorite horrible evil bastard and all his doomed relantionships.
I checked tma tag since its anniversary and wow some parts of fandom are still annoying aren’t they-
Okay I will die on a hill that hundred percent oblivious Barnabas is the most interesting and funny interpretation.
But if course for every hc I have I’ll eventually create “but what if it was exactly the opposite”
What if Jonah only assumed Barnabas must be oblivious while Barnabas was very much aware that Jonah is not a good person and he probably does not even love him and he did know that there’s very high chance he will die for him but he was wjust willing to accept all those risks-
Peter: Are you talking to me or to the cats?
Elias: To cats obviously. Why would I be talking to you?
Peter: You do that sometimes…
Elias: Rarely!
Peter: Still way to often… 😔
My new favourite trope is making up parallels between lonelyeyes and jmart but the plottwist is that Peter and Elias are perfectly complementary towards each other and are having perfectly functional dysfunctional relantionship whereas Jon and Martin are absolutely terrible match even though they have very normal and reasonable expectation.
Elias would tell Peter he’s tired of him and asked him for some space and Peter would just leave for six moth and both of them would be perfectly happy with the result.
Jon would tell Martin that he’s not that much into cuddling and that it’s hard to fall asleep when Martin is holding him. Martin would get sad that he enjoys cuddling him while sleeping. They would try to make schedule when they sleep cuddled and when they leave space between each other but in no situation both of them would be happy.
