As much as I love fannon portrayal of lonelyeyes with multidivorce, the hate love tension or even all the more soft takes on their relationship…

I think we are not paying enough attention to their strictly cannonical dynamics.

They are avatars of opposing entities. They have completely different personalities. Peter’s ritual literally failed because of Elias’ Archivist. Yet they built some wierd kind of companionship based on bets and wagers? Elias doesn’t even Know how to make successful ritual for that long so he couldn’t be scheming from the beginning… They just reall had to meet one day and decide to keep seeing and annoying each other…

Also not to mention the fact that Elias trusted Peter with the institute. Like yes he didn’t have exactly many people to ask and he needed to mark Jon with the Lonely but still it’s HIS Institute!

Anyway I think we need more fanfics without any subtext where there are kind of begrudgingly friends.

(I think I’ve ever read just one but it was really nice and there seems to be much more understanding than in lots of those where they are married… )
