I don’t understand Gertrude Robinson / Elias Bouchard shippers because they are missing the potential of Gertrude Robinson / James Wright.

First thing - there’s about twenty-five years age difference (body-wise) since Gertrude Robinson was approximately born in 1945 while Elias might be born around 1970? And also as is apparent from Eric’s statement Gertrude knew og Elias and probably didn’t have a highest opinion of him at first and when he changed she was very suspicious of him…

Now I don’t say Gertrude / Jonah isn’t good or intriguing dynamics… But why Elias? You have there James Wright who might have been about Gertrude’s age since Jonah was still Mendelson when he hired Gertrude? At the beginning of any potential relationship/angry hook up she might not even be suspicious that he’s involved in some of the things happening it gives a potential of her paranoia towards him and what he knows growing over time while at the time Jonah doesn’t seem Gertrude like an enemy yet he see all the great potential of his Archivist who’s at that time still doing more or less what she’s expected to be doing…

Anyway that’s probably all I wanted to say. Apologies for my maybe unpopular opinion but GertrudeJames > GertrudeElias.
