I like the idea of Elias initiating every marriage and divorce while Peter is being always disinterested and okay with whatever Elias decides.

“We’re getting married? I mean sounds about right.”

“Oh we’re getting divorce now sure anything you say.”

“Another marriage. If you say so what can I do.”

Peter sees his relantionship with Elias as something happening to him and he refuses to have anything to say in it because it sounds nicely lonely not being involved at all in his own personal life.

Plus it also drives Elias absolutely mad as no matter what he proposes Peter always just shrugs and goes along with it…
