I find interesting the idea that every action Jonah had ever done was motivated either by establishing his place in society and gaining influence or getting closer to finishing the ritual. He crafted a perfect persona and he is always in character - always working towards his goal.

He can rest and have fun when he is done. Till then fun is just waste of time and even during activities that are deemed enjoyable he refuse to relax and not letting his guard down.

And it is all fine by him. He is used to it. He does not find it stressful it has always been his reality.

But if someone asked what he enjoys doing or what activity brakes him happy he would struggle to answer because why would that be important?
