This specific one (Heart of a Dog) is about a scientist turning a good dog into a garbage human man, at first is fun but I’m really not a fan of political commentary lol
Studying classical russian literature in school kinda turned me off it so I don’t read much
But I personally loved War and Peace, We, Fathers and Sons, A Hero of our Time, my friends love Master and Margarita but it was really hard to understand sometimes without deep history knowledge
Most of the books are depressing as hell and written through a very conservative 19th century male perspective, so the relatability of it is close to non-existent. My fav book from the school list was A Portrait of Dorian Gray and we had to read like a censored version when I was 12? Weird choice for sure
