AU Where there is Jon as fully developed Archivist and his ex-boyfriend Martin is fully developed Lonely avatar.
And one day Jon and Martin form other universe appeared and they are so sickly in love with each other.
And Lonely Martin and Archivist Jon are SO bitter about it. Like they would look at Martin and Jon comforting each other or just trying to figure everything out in a new place and they would be like:
“Disgusting. Can you imagine?”
Only that they can both imagine it very well. Bc they used to be like that too. And it hurts so deeply.
Jon sighed, massaging his temples. The tape recorder clicked and fell silent. That statement felt dry, almost as if Jon was chewing sand. He scowled to himself. He needed something real, something…
“Jon.” Martin smiled, “I will make tea. Do you want one?”
“Ah.. no. No, thank you, Martin. I.. I will take a break.” Jon decided and stood up. “I think I need some air.”
“Oh… Right. Right. Was it a bad one? Statement, I mean?”
Jon opened his mouth and then nodded only as he was leaving the room.
It was not bad enough.
The next thing he remembers was sitting across from a young woman who was crying hysterically.
“Please, please stop.”
Jon flinched and quickly got up, leaving the café. He ran back into the Archives and closed the door behind him, breathing heavily.
“J-jon… Are… Are you alright? "Martin blinked.
"Yes.. I… I didn’t want to be late,” he said. Martin chuckled and shook his head. Jon smiled tightly, “I should have eh… Slow down.”
“Archives are not going to run, Jon.”
Jon nodded again, and he suddenly turned around, knowing that the door would open. After a second, he was met with Elias’ pleased smile.
“Hello, Jon. You had a fulfilling walk? ”
Jon scowled at him and closed the door with a loud thump that made Martin jump.
“I… I didn’t tell him.” Martin said quickly.
“I know, Martin. I know.” The Archivist said.
Friendly reminder that Another Love by Tom Odell exists and it’s in fact a perfect the Lonely song. And it is also (on some level) a perfect Lonelyeyes song if you would ask me.
