anyway there’s smth about this jon tma post and rose being the seer of light who goes dark and the above hmtw discussion of how rose knows the game for what it is but is nonetheless powerless to stop the apocalypse and what it means to have foresight or genre awareness that is either useless or actively counterproductive.. and obv for both jon and rose their supernatural ability to Know is helpful to them later in different ways and they are more easily able to manipulate narrative as they grow more powerful but still it means something to have that first early failure or feeling of powerlessness despite knowing better .
