Will see if i do something with this verse, I actually have a small plot thingy.
@nonbinaryeye hero you go another one.
WEBDESIGNER started to pester ARSONPOET
WD: Hello Martin
AP: Blocked
ARSONPOET has blocked WEBDESIGNER
WEBDESIGNER started to pester ARSONPOET
AP: How???
WD: Read my name Martin what do you think?
AP: I don’t want to hear it, you lied to everyone!
WD: Did i? I told Peter that the extinction was coming and it was too late to stop it, but there was a way to fix it, was it not right? I told Elias that the end was coming and that there was a way to avoid it, I told Jon and Basira that this was a way to save the earth and get rid of the entities.
WD: Was I wrong about any of those things? Perhaps i did not explain further, but the result would have been the same, the game had already started.
WD: This merely ensured that you all played and survived, bringing the fears along for the ride. I did not lie, if we win a new earth will be awaiting for us, therefore we saved humanity.
AP: Not the one we left behind! And sure, maybe you didn’t lie exactly but you still played all of us.
WD: Why do you care?
AP: Excuse me??
WD: About that earth, you have the people that matter here, why would you care about all the anonymous people from a world that is now long gone?
AP: They were people! And maybe, maybe if everyone knew, and played the game they could have survived or had a chance to at least!
WD: It wouldn’t have worked, there are… specific circumstances you need to make it work, and very few people who meet the quota for it. This was the best outcome we could hope for.
AP: So I just need to what? Accept it? That is all gone and we were just lucky to survive? That we were chosen because we can carry fear with us to infect the new planet we make?
WD: Pretty much. Plus we get to be gods too. That’s nice.
AP: Goodbye!!
WD: One last thing, when you go to sleep, don’t look to the sky of derse.
AP: ….why?
WD: You will see something unpleasant. That’s all I wanted to say, good luck ;;;;)
WEBDESIGNER ceased to pester ARSONPOET
Stupid Annabelle.
Martin sighs and puts his cellphone back in his skyladex.
He is still fighting imps in his land, the tower and fog made it harder to see them, but he made due. He always did. Martin briefly considers contacting Jon, but resolves it would be pointless. All his effort to keep him safe from Peter and Elias were for nothing.
Jon still went into the coffin to get Daisy, would have gone to the middle of nowhere to check on a supposed dark ritual If the literal end of the world hadn’t stopped him. Martin was useless and powerless to save him. This entire endeavour was hopeless in his book. As if they could finish the game, as if they could kill the monsters and survive.
The fog that was not caused by the game thickened and blanketed his feelings making him numb to the grief.
Better.
He still needs to kill a few more imps and level up.
Martin doesn’t take his cellphone out again and misses all the notifications from Jon.
He ponders what could be hiding in the sky of derse.
