“I- we will see. It had been a gift so perhaps your father can…” He asks for the key and she smiles ruefully before following him to the crawlspace. He uses the key to cut the wallpaper and then shove it inside the hole, it turns perfectly and he hears the click of it! Excited he pulls it to open the door and on the other side there is-
Huh?
“That’s disappointing, what’s the point of a trapdoor if it leads nowhere?” His mother says maybe during the renovation to split the building into several flats it was covered up.
“Whatever it is, it appears there is no portal to another dimension or…a hell dimension? Is that right?” He actually nods and beams a bit. She was about to laugh when her phone rang and she had to be pulled away to talk to her co-workers apparently, leaving him alone there.
“Oh”
He glares at the key.
“Useless”
