Despite what you may think, Mooreland has plenty of photos, it’s in fact one of the worst family traditions they have. The photo day. Peter has loathed it since childhood and has hated it even more how he could walk across the hallways and see photos of people he didn’t recognize, not more than for a vague sense of dejavu at their faces.
They all wore the same fancy clothes for picture day, the boys and their little suits and the girls with their long dresses and fancy hairstyles. It’s meant to make you feel even more isolated, and it works surprisingly well. To have a wall covered in photos of family that you don’t know and you are aware you cannot remember, that’s not even counting on the fact that there are photos of people long gone, As a child before comprehending the how’s of why that was possible, he just thought they were quite spooky. their faces in those imagenes half erased as if by some sort of force.
The portraits were another thing that instantly sent him on edge even more than the photos. Generations of Lukas all over the walls, judging him as you moved across hallways and the main living room. It made him feel seen and it made him want to disappear even more.
