People who don’t speak Hebrew on their day to day, you don’t understand. Ben Zona is son of a a whore, but we throw it around with about the same casualty as son of a bitch. It can also mean badass but that’s Benzona, it’s the same words you just gotta say em like it’s one word.
If you really want it to hit tho you can say Ben Shel Zona, which really spells out the ‘of a’ part in son of a whore. Yknow, for emphasis.
Then there’s something we call Ben Elef, which is like. I mean directly translated I guess it’s calling someone a 1000 years old?? Never really understood it but it works, and I bring it up because something I don’t hear often but I do say myself a lot, is taking that and combining it with Ben Zona, usually my go to is Ben Elef Zonot, meaning son of a thousand whores.
This has just been an excuse for me to share my thoughts on Hebrew (and Israeli) swears, @ani-tolaat-bli-toelet thx for tagging me!
