listening to the season 3 q&a of the magnus archives and they bring up how everyone decided after episode 92 that Elias is super sexy and now that’s a Very Important Aspect of his character and i loved to feel so not alone lmao
but on the other hand my face physically reacted to hearing jon and alex joke about that the same way one does when your friends figure out you have a crush on someone and you’ve been caught and you’re blushing and there’s no way to deny it
to be fair i fell head over heels while listening to episode 82

they are heavily based on me, and they definitely don’t have a ton of lore and story i’m currently working on
it was obvious from the very start that tmagp is a cashgrab. from the little of actual intellectual value they’ve put into this project, to the lazy directing and monotonous structure of the story. and anyone who’s been following rq closely knows that they’ve been struggling financially for a good time, specifically after tma ended.
it honestly feels a bit insulting to the magnus and it’s legacy as one of the most popular horror audio dramas; that they keep on insisting on tmagp being separate and depend on its own margins and mythology, yet return to the same ideas and revisit same characters, and they can’t even do that well.

it might be easy to say this about tmagp because it’s just starting. i do have hope for this series and i’m praying that the writers are actually writing a good, full-thought story. but i feel like this is super important for people to hear, even if they don’t want to.
there’s a chance tmagp will be scummy and leave a bad taste in your mouth. maybe it won’t for some people, but you can’t expect the highest from companies that need money. none of RQ’s current stuff seems to be too popular (based off of youtube views and a highschooler’s opinion) so tmagp being a cashgrab isn’t farfetched.
that being said, while we shouldn’t expect the writers to make the new “hit-podcast” we also shouldn’t assume it’s going to be awful. we are only 15? 16? episodes in, and not everything has been revealed. this is not the magnus archives, and it will never be. i image tma will always be more popular, more beloved, and will probably be RQ’s most economically-benefiting show.
of course, this is all matter of opinion. some people might hate protocol now, but like it later. some might loose faith in protocol the longer it runs. some may never like it, and some will love it. just don’t rely on tma for your assumptions about tmagp, they aren’t the same.
and lets be honest, while i don’t think tmagp is going to be awful, i don’t think it’s going to be incredible either.

i miss colin. i miss augustus. i miss og!elias and he has little to nothing to do with tmagp. if they don’t show in the next few episodes i’m going to cry
