The others call him a monster when he wakes up from his coma so he simply decides he might as well be,
The others don’t come up into the archive anymore because they know a recorder will be waiting for them no matter what
Martin comes into his office himself after the 5th something complaint he gets about Jon hunting people for statements and he sees all the recorders, yet he keeps approaching until he sees Jon sorting statements, and as Jon turns around to answer him the recorders rewind for a second and then switch to play and his voice crackles out from every recorder in sight
