peter getting eaten alive with jealousy at jon getting all of elias’ attention and just having to sit with that and sit with the fact that elias knows it and retreating to the lonely only makes it worse
#yeah i have a complex understanding of lonelyeyes im my head #where peter and elias are together out of convenience #it works for the both of them #their marriage is functional #and peter loves elias deeply #but i dont know that elias ever loved peter #i think he was fond of him for sure and had a lot of fun with him and enjoys having him around #i think elias feels comfortable when peter comes to shore and he has someone to talk openly with about goings on in his life #not that theres much i do think all he does day in and day out is meticulously manage and micromanage his baby his institute his collection #and its convenient that peter is there and never asks much of him #but i do think elias became so obsessed and passionate for jon from the moment he met him in a way peters never seen him behave #even towards him #and i think it hurts peter #but its a good hurt #its lonely #and it reminds him that its good to be lonely #and why their relationship is of course functional #but i do think over these hundreds of years elias was waiting to meet jon and once he did he saw he was perfect #and he didnt dedicate his life to making jon his archive in that moment #hed been dedicating his life to that this entire time #he was always meant to find jon #and he loves jon #and peter is stuck being very aware of this (via @sm0kebreaks)
