what’s a fear entity, avatar, or monster that genuinely scares you or spooks you a little bit? something that makes your skin crawl?

I’m hesitant to count any web guys because yes I am deathly afraid of spiders BUT none of the characters or stories associated with the web really scared me.

Idk if these really count but the two stories that really spooked me that I can remember is Binary and umm the vast one where they were traveling up the mountain and this,, thing started crawling towards them on the lines,, yeah those two made me go OH that’s terrifying actually.

So maybe the spiral ?? just because Binary really got under my skin, and besides for that one story the vast isn’t that scary to me. And incomprehensible horrors is something that gets to me I’ll admit.

Also the stranger gets an honorable mention bc the one’s about the stranger never really scared me BUT the concept in general freaks me out. like meeting someone who just doesn’t really feel human and you can’t figure out why, the uncanny valley,, although that’s more a visual thing for me which doesn’t translate very well with audio.

uh sorry for just rambling but I think the spiral, the web, and the stranger are all good (bad terrible scary) options for me.
