i thought everybody saw how different lena and jonah are just in terms of personality but i guess i should point it out anyways. jonah acts like everything is a part of his plan, and everybody involved is just a source of entertainment. he makes jokes only he could possibly understand, he’s either amused or mildly irritated by genuine threats, he has banter and witty comments and seems to be generally having a better time than everyone else. lena is never having a good time. she seems to actively avoid everyone, her consistant mood is disappointed and tired, she takes almost personal offense to every joke she hears. she’s a killjoy and she’s actively trying to get rid of what little personality she has. the only time her demeanor changes is the scene where gwen blackmails her. and it doesn’t change into anything smug or amused, it changes into carefully concealed anger and fear, threats just vague enough to be a bluff, she’s not dramatically dropping an act, she’s revealing just another aspect of herself.
with jonah, it always felt like everything he did was a part of his plan. with lena, it feels more like a part of her training. do you get that.
Okay but. Imagine. Theoretical scenario where elias and lena are both employed at the same dead end office place and are forced to interact like. Pleasantly and not in matters relating to the supernatural. Would Elias do his job? Or would he spend his days scheming and planning his own stuff? Cause like he loves accounting but would he really love advertising and selling stuff he doesn't care about to clients? Would he make Lena do all of his work for him? Is a bit of bullying and lunch stealing involved? I just think. Maybe one day girlfail snaps back.

i think it’s a hunter/hunted situation where the hunted has all the power, in a way. elias definitely enjoys being the prey, but if he didn’t, he could put a stop to the entire dynamic within seconds. but he won’t. because he likes it. daisy also definitely uses it as an outlet for the hunt, it’s basically perfect for that, because she’s never going to actually catch elias. he’s the ideal prey: he’s done enough bad shit for daisy to not feel bad about hurting him (seeing the prey as deserving of its position is a core aspect of the hunt), and he’s smart enough to always be just out of her reach.

ok yeah i fuck w/ this too actually. the realistic dynamic is elias being in control. but it would be so fun to see him absolutely crumble. he’s not used to actually being at someone else’s mercy, if daisy stops being his obediant little dog that he occasionally indulges with a pretend hunt, and becomes a genuine hunter for long enough in a scary enough way, he might start kicking and screaming and crying and actually running away for real this time.
