it’s not a joke anymore i genuinely think there’s something exceptionally themes and narratives to the idea of gertrude/jonah/peter. relistening to mag 158. first episode where jonah and peter directly interact. also the first episode where we hear jonah and gertrude interact. in both scenarios one of them is about to kill the other. jonah calls killing gertrude “the end of an era” and thinks her idea of burning down the institute and dying together is “poetic.” moments before we hear him confront peter, who’s trying to get martin to kill him.
