brutal pipe murder except everything’s the exact same but on his way out, elias slips comically on a puddle of blood and accidentally hits himself with the pipe. he doesn’t die or anything but he gets a mild nosebleed and the eye starts laughing at him
yknow what. yeah. and it would even make sense lore-wise because he’s literally inside someone else’s body AND brain, like that’s gotta fuck with your sense of balance and direction at least a bit. the real reason he shot gertrude was because she saw him walk right into the doorframe of his own office or stumble over misplaced boxes in the archives one too many times
even funnier concept to add onto this: not only is he incredibly clumsy, he’s also incapable of just moving on when something does happen. like if he hits his head on something or trips and falls he just HAS to sit there on the ground for a few seconds holding his head going “owww oww that really hurt” like an anime character.
