i think i have finally pinned down my interpretation of jonah magnus as a villain. and it’s that he really wants to be a dramatic overtly villainous villain but he’s too attached to his corporate persona. like something about the way he talks, even when he’s having a villain monologue, is just so. ordinary. professional. this monologue could’ve been an email
he wants to be the common fanon interpretation of himself but he has been Founder And Head Of The Magnus Institute for 200 years. c'mon guys. he’s the personification of paperwork. poor thing doesn’t know how to be anything except a fucking manager even when he’s actively bringing forth the apocalypse
