one of the many differences between jonathan sims and arthur lester is that jon thinks he’s a monster for his mistakes and his nature and arthur thinks he’s just a shitty human. jon feels guilty for everything bad that happens near him, but also doesn’t hold himself accountable and thinks this is just his nature. arthur refuses to let anyone make him feel bad for more than what he’s responsible for, but he will never stop trying to redeem himself for the things he is responsible for. they’re both stuck in very, very different mindsets regarding their own morality. i find them so fascinating to be honest
