Your designs for Jon and Martin TMA are so good, they're simultaneously strong from an objective character design point of view (strong silhouette and shapes, information is conveyed well) but also look like ordinary people. Like the way you draw them transfers over to looking like a real person really well and the real person looks, just, normal... it goes with the series' energy. It's hard to have both often but you succeed πŸ‘

This is so nice to hear because character design is really intimidating for me! Usually, when I make fanart for other stuff where i don’t have to think about this sort of thing.

I’m trying to balance taking inspiration from other designs and putting my own spin on it. I also look at people irl to find ideas so i don’t accidentally copy too much. It helps that the setting is is the modern day - albeit in a place far away from where i live!

I’ve never been one for really extravagant or intricate stuff so I’m going the low-key realistic route and relying on body language for more expressiveness! Works better with my artstyle.
