love any implication that jon is elias’ possession. because like first of all let me be clear he is. he’s mr magnus’ archive. but at the same time it’s so ridiculous just the idea that what elias has made jon into is something that he can own. trying to use insect pins to hold down a god (SCREAMS)

mag92 being set up as a recording elias makes where at the beginning he calls the police and reads out the letter barnabas wrote to jonah (and also tells him the only point of having friends is to observe and discard them) before jon and the others even enter the scene is SO tasty. im imagining jon listening and relistening to the tape later and feeling a rush of conflicting emotions… the thrill of a new statement (AND new information about jonah magnus!), the resentment towards elias for running him ragged while keeping necessary information guarded, the shame of remembering how easily elias outwitted them in that confrontation, the vulnerability of their private conversation…
