so naturally he takes to the flesh. as people are exiting his life en masse, suddenly he has this ability to shift people. to make them happier. to make himself more complete. but he discovers this joy he has is a horror for some.

the flesh is primarily about the horror of being grist for the mill - jared is a beast marked for the slaughter of a society that had deemed him unacceptable, unworthy. his lack of wanting anything bigger than the satisfaction of being enough - for himself, his friends, his patron - speaks volumes about how deeply his need for affection runs

like damn, he was super depressed and not coping well and had no one helping him when he was a kid and then a young adult. until the boneturner’s tale came to him.

Dollface was raised in a big family being an only girl. Since her birth she didn’t have any autonomy over her own body and choices, bring extremely overpamped by her mother who treated her dother like a doll to dress up and project into. Any protests again that were met with harch criticism and beating which only added to the top of unachievable body and behavior standards placed over her head.
Despite being extremely attractive, Dollface was never aware of that part of herself growing up , or any part at all for that matter, after being denied autonomy for so long she never learned to connect with her real name, her wants , her character , her body. But what she did connect with was anatomy. Organs , viscera , bones - parts of her that were only hers , connecting her with other humans.
As soon as she was given a sliver of independence, Dollface fled from her family house going on a rampage of self discovery. Her openess to the world , nativity and will for discovery opened her for new connections , knowledge on how the world saw her and being killed for the first time. First time of many.
