hiya! sorry if youve already answered this question before, but im wondering how you learned panelling in your comics so well.. whenever i try its a hustle to figure out whatll look best and not so cluttered lmao
im also wondering how you have so many wonderful ideas for comics 😭 im trying to start drawing comics more and yours are always huge inspirations but im unfortunately mind blank when it comes to creating plots and scenarios for them…🥲
most of the time I just wing it but when it’s longer than 10 pages I have a script which details specific scenarios that I want to draw. when you write your script think of your comic as like, a play or a movie so you can envision what shot you want in a panel. when I start a page I set down text first to see how big of a space the speech bubbles will take up in a panel. If it’s too big or looks too much like a wall of text, that’s when I make another panel with a different angle of the same scene to divide the text (or close up shots of objects the character is interacting with) for better spacing.
it’s just a matter of getting used to it to be honest! i mostly learned from watching a lot of movies and looking at storyboards.
