Related, just unrelated to the display of the piece itself, but you might notice when I post sketches they’re always on a muted greyish beige canvas

I am begging artists everywhere who work primarily on screens, especially modern screens, to never use the default white as your working canvas while sketching!

If the finished piece uses bright white as its main backdrop, go for it, but be kind to your eyes and do your early planning stages, sketching, inking on a darker canvas.

You’ll save yourself a world of eye strain, headaches (and worse, eye damage) this way.
