I know tmagp is suppose to be able to be enjoyed by new fans with no prior knowledge. So Martin and Jon being around is like. Maybe a passing Easter egg thing later.
But Jonah Magnus being in it, when the fucking Magnus Institute being burned down is one of the main hooks, shouldn’t be that far fetched. Chill. Even with the fandom going rabid a Jonah Magnus reveal will still shock and awe a newcomer.
Even if he’s not alive or not a voice. Just learning about the dude, Fears or no Fears, should be eye opening to the story
God the thought about getting to hear people talk about Jonah and they’re just strangers to each other. He’s just a blip on their radar. No one they’ll see again. He doesn’t care to really know someone personally just their stories.
Unlike the others where he fundamentally changed their lives because of how involved their friendships were.
Dearest friends die from his influence and choices. Strangers get to live but it’s their own choices that decide that.
Because Elias took the original one. Just the price of doing business. Whether that business is marriage, having any kind of say beyond whatever original agreement was with the family, or just to have the loose ends of whoever doesn’t fit in at the Institute.
big fan of the interpretation in ships that jonah magnus will not hesitate to kill someone they love, or to let someone they love die. it’ll still hurt them, especially if they do it just to further the eye’s agenda, but they will not hesitate. they’ll only ever cry after people they’ve lost alone and ashamed, and they will not let their own affection for someone get in the way of their plan.
