It’s terrible. Peter is often negligent, enjoys bringing Jon right to the edge then leashing him up and abandoning him for hours. Likes Jon warming his cock but is Much more sparing with praise and affection than Elias (always offers just enough to Hurt when he takes it away). But Jon is so lonely. And part of him likes that it hurts. It’s easier to justify sleeping with Peter when it always seems to make him feel worse. He doesn’t deserve the comfort or pleasure he’s seeking unless it’s somehow painful.
